Can anyone advise on where we should fill up? I can't remember where I went last time. We leave this afternoon from Epcot.

While I have you here, anyone have experience with late afternoon security lines for terminal A? Trying to figure out what time to leave Epcot to get to the airport for our 6:40pm flight. Thanks!

I always fill up at the Hess station next to the Boardwalk, or the Hess station across from Downtown Disney.
As long as you fill the tank up, the short drive to MCO does not make a noticable difference in the gas levels. Therefore, no additional gas charges will apply.

Last Friday I filled up at the Hess by Downtown Disney, I think it was $2.15. It was still full when I got to the airport. I went through security around noon (the end near the Hyatt), it was not bad, maybe 5 minutes.

Returning to airport via I-4 to 528 (Beach line fka Bee line) get off at latter's exit 9 Tradeport/Conway. Left and cross under, nice gas station to top off at is right there.

Leaving gas station, with 528 in your rear view mirror, get into middle lane, required right onto McCoy, airport is just aover a mile away.

On Monday we used the Hess on Orange Blossom Trail I think exit 11 off 417.

We rented from Dollar and they wanted a receipt from a gas station withing 10 miles of the airport.

Of course they never checked the receipt but you never know.

Do make sure the check-in papers show a full tank. Someone posted here not too long ago that they were hit with a fuel charge and they returned the car with a full tank.

This is the only time I fill that tank up into the filler tube ( I gas up at Hess in Disney). No way can the gauge come off of full.

If you fill up at the HESS at downtown Disney you can also pick-up take-out sandwiches from Earl of Sandwich across the street.

Thanks everyone! :thumbsup2

We ended up using the Hess at exit 11 off of 417.

It was $2.11 a gallon. Not bad.

Of course, being from Jeresy, and not used to self serve, I think I topped off a little bit too much. ;)
