Best garden view rooms at GF?

Any suggestions for which garden view rooms I should request at the GF? We have reserved two rooms and I have asked for adjoining ones, but I wonder what else I should ask for.

Any info much appreciated

Really, you can't go wrong. I would request a balcony, which would put you on at least the second floor. Two buildings to possibly request would be Big Pine Key or Boca Chica. They both face the inner courtyard / pool area which is really nice to look at.

For something different, you could stay in Sago Cay with a monorail view if you like to watch the monorail. The other side of Sago Cay has nice marina views.

With an adjoining room request, it is going to be difficult to for them to fulfill specific requests as the resort opperates at near 98+% occupancy. It's a very popular resort, so getting two rooms next to each other can be a hard thing to fulfill.

I had a lovely view of the pool in Big Pine Key. I could also see the MK fireworks from the balcony. You picked a great resort!

Cali- It's good to have that info. My little boy is train mad and I know he would love a monorail view. Regarding the room request, I wonder would I be better off leaving things as they stand with the two adjoining rooms, or try for the room requests. We are staying with my 3yo and 1yo in one room and my mom is taking the other room. It's not a real big deal not to have adjoining rooms, but I would like to have them in the same area. I guess it can't hurt to fax in a request.

Tink- I would love a fireworks view, but I don't think it's likely that there will be any fireworks the time I'm going. From what I'm reading, it's likely that the MK will be closed at 6 or 7pm in September. I guess the Sept opening hours aren't available yet, but I'll keep watching for them.

We stayed at the GF for our honeymoon back in April. The first night we were in Conch Key with a view of the marina. In my opinion, the view is FAR better then one of the pool. For one it is REALLY cool to watch the monorails and MUCH quieter to sit on your balcony then a pool view!

I disagree with the fact that the GF may not be able to give you joining rooms - contrary to what people say about GF 'stuffy' cast members on these boards, they are EXTREMELLY accomodating! This resort has 900 rooms and only 17 King bed rooms - we requested a king bed and we got one, then the first morning that we woke up, there were screaming children in the room next door at 6:00am - we called to complain and they moved us to another King bed room (where we didn't like our view as much as the first) we called the front desk and then we got upgraded to Big Pine Key; Lagoon View...

The bottom line is that this resort WILL bend over backwards for you - all you have to do is ask! If it is in their power to do it - then they will...

No matter where your room is - your gonna LOVE this resort! We are planning for our first year anniversary back to WDW and I still can't use to the fact that we won't be able to afford the GF for a long, long time...lol...

In my own experiences, the resort CM's are less than helpful when accommodating requests. I've requested first floor, was given 4th floor. I've requested Conch Key or Sago Cay, was given Boca Chica. No big deal to me, I tell the CM at check-in that that isn't acceptable. Once they figure out I know what I want, they'll reassign me rooms (sometimes they haven't done it too happily, and I am very friendly and nice with them).

Anyways, make sure you know the difference between adjoining and connecting rooms. Connecting rooms have an actual door in between the two rooms, while adjoining just means next to or across the hall.

madonna, would you happen to remember the room numbers of those king rooms? I've been trying to keep track of different rooms with different beddings.

We had a marina view in Conch Key 3 years ago, which was considered garden view. I thought it was great - we could see part of the lagoon and the monorail. I had requested upper floor, no particular view or building, it was first floor but we liked it.
