I'm assuming both are better than Le Cellier.

How would any of these places compare to, say, The Capital Grille?

I don't know what The Capital Grille is but to answer your question, Shula's is the best steak and one of the best meals on property. It is hands down better than Yachtsman, no question. :thumbsup2

Yes-both are better than Le Cellier.
And I don't know the Capital Grille either, but Shula's is the best steakhouse at WDW,

The one time I went to a Capital Grille, I didn't get steak, so I can't compare. But between these two choices, it's Shula's all the way...

I cannot compare to Shula's but Yachtsman was a fantastic meal - one of the best restaurant meals I've ever had, so would vouch highly for it.

Yachtsman was better than LeCellier imo, so your assumption on that was right. LeCellier was good, but a bit shy of a 2ts credit place.

If I was to rank them:

1. Capital Grille
2. Shula's
3. Yachtsman
4. LeCellier

Thanks for all of th responses!

Does anyone know if Shula's dry ages or wet ages their steaks?

Hi,

Shula's is the best steakhouse experiance on WDW Property. In our opinion the Shula's at WDW is better than The Capital Grille in Boston, but the Shula's in Tampa is not.

I would say that Shula's is similar to Capital Grill. There is also Restaurant.com certificate for $25. With a coupon code, you could get is for $2. It's drop on a bucket but still helps. :goodvibes\

IMO, Shula's is better than Yachtsman's and LeCellier.

IMO, Shula's is on a par with Capital Grill, a half step below Ruths', Morton's, The Palm, etc. but easily two steps ahead of Yachtsmans. YS has the ability of giving you a great dining experience but if it's the steakhouse experience (including better beef) is your desire then Shula's in the one.

I haven't been to Shula's but The Yachtsman was wonderful both times I've eaten there. :cloud9:

ChrisM:
"Wet" aged

Unfortunate. Guess I will stick to the less fatty cuts.

Thanks again for all of the responses. In general I would rank The Capital Grille above Ruth's Chris, Mortons, and Gibsons, at least the locations in Chicago. I'm sure there is a fair amount of variance in locations from city to city.

IMO, most Capital Grille's are not up the par you've stated but of course, like you say, there are always exceptions and being from Chicago, you're in a true "steakhouse" city so the bar could be raised for you.

For my steak money in Orlando it would go as follows:
1. Del Frisco
2. The Palm (Hard Rock)
3. Ruths' Chris (Sand Lake)
4. Shula's
5. Morton's
6. Capital Grille

Nothing whatsoever "fatty" about any of the cuts at Shula's.
But taste is always a matter of personal preference.

I'm referring to the amount of expected marbling/fat in a given cut, not that they would offer poorly trimmed cuts.

Dry aging is a superior aging method over wet aging for marbled cuts as the fat and connective tissue has a longer time to break down. So if I am going to a wet age establishment, I will likely choose a filet over a strip, for example.

Does anyone know if they serve PRIME or CHOICE grade steaks at Yachtsman Steakhouse?
