Best food at Disneyland

At Plaza Inn, the fried chicken is absolutely juicy inside and crunchy outside, perhaps the best fried chicken in SoCal. Worth a stop just for the chicken.

Snacks: Churros at any Churro stand. Rolled in cinnamon sugar right in front of you.

The Churros at Disneyworld are stale and premade. I think they're microwaved. Two totally different Churros.

I TOTALLY agree with you, kik050! The churros at DL are the BEST anywhere. My daughter considers it a successful day if she eats 4 of them!

And, like you said, they're pretty nasty at WDW (Epcot). We had some in April and returned them after one bite. Very stale tasting and hard.

We love churro's. We operate on a churro economy. When the girls want to purchase something I tell them that will cost you five churro's. They are a valuable commodity those churro's. My girls will say no to lots of things using this tactic. Easy to save for DL.

Well food can be very subjective but here are a few of mine favorites. First the cheese fries from ESPN Zone. The best I have ever had. Also their shrimp scampi is really good. Also a fan if the dinner buffet at Storytellers Cafe at the Grand Caifornian. They have the best Chicken Corn Chowder on the planet. Snack the bignets fro Jazz kitchen express. Counter service for me it is a tie between Plazza Inn or Rancho Del Zocalo. Now I have been lucky enough to eat at Club 33 and that by far blew everything out of the water.

For dinner, Plaza Inn - 1 fried chicken and 1 pasta feeds our family of 4!!
Lunch - French market - soup in a bread bowl and salad
Breakfast - Riverbell Terrace - Mark Twain.
Snacks - Tigger Tails, cheese sticks, pickle, and pineapple.

Oh and the nachos from Whitewater Rapids cafe in GC
Oh and absolutely - Dole Whip

Make sure to start one morning off right with a cinnamon roll from Blue Ribbon Bakery...NOTE: My DH and I split one because they are a bit large and a bit on the sugary side!!!!! :rotfl:

I think Just about anythign from blue ribbon bakery on main Street is delisicous.

Churros and Dole Whips are a given

We usually go to Cafe orleans for a sit down meal.

I could talk about food all day. So let me chip in my 2 cents.

I love Cafe Orleans. Their Monte Cristo is soooo gooood. But it's not for everyone. Their Pomme Frites, however, has gotten rave reviews from just about everyone. And also their Beignets. But I actually think that Ralph Brennan's (in DTD) beignet's are much better than Cafe Orlean's.

I love french toast and I think Plaza Inn's french toast is really good. And they have warm syrup or fresh fruit to go w/it. I usually have to do a character breakfast whenever I go to DL and I usually go to Plaza Inn. And they also have an omelet bar, which I also really like.

And there's a little wagon just outside of Plaza Inn where they sell the best corn dogs. Ugh. It's just so good.

There's also the Chicken Fusilli at Redd's Pizza Port next to Space Mountain. I ask for a bit of extra sauce and cheese. I love cheese. It's so good.

And I've become obsessed with these toffee pretzels. You can find them at Marceline's. Or at Pooh's Corner. And the Tigger Tails are not to be missed. You can find Tigger Tails at Marceline's also.

And the Caramel kettle corn that seems to be randomly located in DTD. It always smells sooooooo good. Well, it IS really good. I remember we were outside eating at Ralph Brennan's and the cart was right across from our table and the smell was wafting towards our general area. We just had to buy a bag after. We were so full we could only take pop a couple kernels of corn in our mouths. But ohman it was soooo freaking bomb! We didn't get to eat it most of it until later that night and even then it was sooooo good! Then the next time we came back it was at the back of World of Disney. Then after that it was by La Brea. So, I don't know. Maybe they're all the same? Or maybe I'm trippin? But it's just soooo good. Or even the caramel corn at the popcorn stand next to Soarin' at DCA. It's like crack. I just love me some caramel popcorn. MmmMmMmM!

Those are all I can think of for now.

I'm sooo glad to hear you say that. Now I know I didn't just get a nasty batch at WDW. I try to limit my kids to 2 a day, but sometimes I let them have a third one.

we just got back and i am going to repeat some of the things people said...

loved the churros.
loved the pineapples & pickles from the fruit cart - what is it about them? they are so good.
from the fruit cart, i also had the mangos that came w/lime & some seasoning...the best!
we ate at the DTD french cafe and had the red beans & rice which was sooo good...yum.

wish i knew about the chili cheese fries...hubby is going to be sooo upset we missed them!

Well, at least you have some control. My daughter is now married and it's up to her husband to curb her churro addiction.... :lmao:

Bengal BBQ is considered a meal for my family...
I usually order a Veggie Skewer, a Chicken skewer and I cannot do without at least one Bacon Wrapped Asparagus skewer.

I could eat there everyday if I lived closed to DL :rotfl:

We all love the caramel apples(our traditional treat while waiting for fireworks), and the kids love churros and Dole whips. We like the salads at Redd's for lunch. We also like to get the Mickey shaped sourdough bread to snack on from Boudin Bakery in DCA.

1) Best counter service is definitely the corn dogs from the corn dog wagon on main street. The line can get long, but it is soooooo worth it. It's also a pretty decent value for the deliciousness of the food. I also really like the French Market, although I always get nervous trying to navigate a heavy tray of food through the crowds there. In DCA, I love the clam chowder bread bowl at Pacific Wharf.

2) Best snack depends on my mood, but I love the Mickey pretzels and the churros.

3) For full service, I really liked Cafe Orleans. The all-cheese monte cristo is delicious. Your arteries will hate you, but your taste buds will make up for it. In Downtown Disney, I really like Tortilla Jo's (they have a wonderful tequila menu) and Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen.

I love the Mickey pretzels and dole whip for snacks.

We also have to get the gumbo at Royal Veranda once while we are there. The hardest part is finding a place to eat it.

Breakfast at Carnation Cafe.

And just added last trip (last October) dinner at Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. I am a vegetarian and the veggie skewers are amazing! And the fact you get to take your left overs with you is an added plus.

My DH also just reminded me that we love to get ice cream at Gibson Girl one night at the end of our night or during parades.

Oh course, we have a lot of places to try this next trip that are new since last we were there. :) popcorn::
