Best flip flops?

Reef flip flops (the ones with the bottle opener on the bottom) are super comfortable and are tennis shoe like on the bottom. They can be pretty pricey, but I did see some on sale for about $35 the other day!

If you are used to walking in crowds in flip flops for miles then OK. But I never let the DD's where anything open toed with so many strollers, scooters, wheelchairs and distracted walkers about.

I own a pair of Sanuk Slings. They are very cushiony, but they would certainly not do well when wet. I really like them though.

I don't usually wear flip-flops but after reading similar threads, I decided to try yoga mats. I've been wearing them to work and out and about, to test them out over distances, and they're great. So I'm thinking of making them my park shoes this trip.

But - - I also got them because I thought they'd work well in the rain, esp drying out quickly (something sneakers definitely don't do), with little damage (leather sandals might not recover from being soaked).

Could you warn me about what will go wrong with yoga mats in the rain? Do they get too slippery (on the bottom where you walk or where your foot meets the sole), do they stretch out too much? Thanks for any tips...

I love my Teva Mush sandals. Never had any issues wearing them.

I also love my slip on snaeakers - Sketchers Go walks are now my go-to pair of shoes when I am walking. They are so comfy.

I don't know about that particular brand, my crocs and tevas are great in the rain as long as they aren't old with some of the treads worn off. The first year we went in August my DH insisted on wearing sneakers and they took days to dry out after a drenching storm. He also got blisters and foot pain so now he wears classic crocs to WDW and even at home.

Vionics! I've had ankle surgery and they are my go to.
I've never heard of these but looking on their website they are really cute. Which ones do you have? I'm looking at the Paden T-strap sandal. Do you buy them direct or have you found any deals on them?

I'll chime in the the FitFlop wearers. If you shop around, you can find them on some of the discount sites for around $50, maybe less. They are awesome--lots of cushion, and arch support. When we went in May, I wore them our first day, thinking I would swap to my Sketchers gowalk flip flops for the next day, but my feet and legs felt so good at the end of the day I wore the Fitflops the whole trip.

I love my Keens. I wear them every day in the parks. Once I switched to tennis shoes and within a couple of hours, bam. Blister.

I'll be the first to say Mukluks, then! I adore my pair, and I seriously wish I had bought a few more when they were on sale.

While I'm normally a TevaMush girl, I wore my Sanuk Yoga Mats for three days straight walking all over NYC and they were great! They do get a little slippery in the rain (where the foot meets the sole) and mine have really flattened and stretched out, but I've had them for a few years now so it's not surprising.

Would the cushioned Reefs work out? Debating whether to bring them.

As a Floridian, my shoe of choice is a flip flop when I am not at work. I have owned or do own them all Tevas, Reefs, Sanuks, Freewaters, Keens, Vionics, Olukai's, but the one's I like the most are the Havaianas my wife got me in Brazil a few years ago. I don't think you can get them in the states or they don't sell them anymore, but looking at the website they most resemble the Surf Pro or the Dynamic.

What flip flops worked best for walking the world? I have so many pairs of them but I have not one good pair for a week of walking the parks. I don't want to pack a bunch of shoes, 2 pairs...3 at the most. I would like to spend under $50. Thanks!! :D
I love my FitFlops for long park days!

Teva Olowahu are my favorite flip flops. This last trip, I wore Keen sandals almost every day because it rained and they were better for me in the rain.

I typically wear reefs to the parks. They are so comfortable and I don't have any pain at the end of the day. Been wearing the same 4 or 5 pairs for years. You can usually find them at Nordstrom rack for cheaper.

I love Sanuks! They are super comfortable and offer cushioning. I walked miles wearing them last month. Highly recommend!
