I'm a dork - - bought Keen Venice and Teva Pretty Rugged, and don't like either of them. I wore the Keens on a trip to Manhattan last weekend and all I can say is: Thank God I brought moleskin! Blisters on both heels.

I have tried Crocs Athens and that toe peice is too t-h-i-c-k for my taste. I don't want to feel the hot pavement through my flip flips. What have you guys tried that is comfortable and doesn't kill your front shinbone muscles by the end of the day?

I was thinking of Teva Mush. Has anyone tried them? Any other brands? And since it's so late into summer, please can you tell me where you got your favorite pair so I can try to find them? I leave 9/16 so it's really too late for online mail orders, I need brick and mortar!

Thanks so much!

Reef brand flip flops are really great. You can find them at most of your sporting good stores that sell clothing. Nordstrom sells them also.

While my hubby prefers his Crocs Athens, I found that they make my already-large feet look like clown feet. :teeth: So I like my Reefs. Not as squishy as Crocs, but still soft enough to be comfy all day, but with more structure. I have a tan pair with brown soles that I wear all the time, love em. Got mine at Dillard's, so I assume you could get them at any of their family of stores (Parisian, Belk, lots of others, etc.), or at most large sporting goods stores as was mentioned before.

I have worn them all. In fact when we went to Las Vegas this summer I took my keens, Kenneth Coles's, Born's and I kept going back to my Old navy Flip Flops. I am takin 2 Pairs of Old Navy Flip Flops with me next week! I can walk in them all day and I never get blisters.

I love Crocs, but sometimes want something a little less "hey look at my feet"! For those times, I love my Teva Mush. Very comfy and no blisters!! Dh loves his, too.

That's strange because I wore my Keens last year when we were in Disney and never had a problem. Was that the first time you wore them? DH actually just bought Keens to wear around Disney. That's all we were around town too.

Reef flip flops are the best! You can usually get them at any surf/skate type store at the mall or many better outdoors store.

I am a huge Keen fan, but I sent the Venice style back to Zappos. They did the SAME THING to my heels just around the house! Every other pair I own is wonderful - not that Venice model. :sad2: Your is not the first post I have read regarding the heel problem with the Venice, either. They suck.

I wore Teva Mushes all over WDW on my July trip. I brought tons of shoes because I always do ;) , but now I am a Mush fan, too! They were wonderful. I am wearing them now. I love all the cute prints and patterns and I have to say I am addicted to them. Plus, they are lightweight and travel easy!!

Good luck!!

I've worn the same pair of cheap flip flops all summer, everywhere, and haven't had any blisters of any sort. Please don't laugh, but my Speedo flip flops that I purchased at Target are the most comfortable flip flops I've ever had! Yesterday I wore a pair of slides to work, and ended up with blisters on the bottoms of my feet. I got home and put on my Speedo's, and my feet felt instant relief. I think they were only $18 or so at Target - maybe on clearance by this time?

I have 2 pairs of Merrells that I love. I got them at DSW so they may be on clearance or at least sale right now. These have made over 5 trips to WDW so I can attest that they are quality shoes!

Another vote for Reefs. I have a few pairs and love them all! They sell them at many places - surf/skateboard shops will have the best selection, though.

I love my reefs for everyday use, but I bought Crocs Athens flip flops while at Universal City Walk. They were so much more comfortable while walking around WDW.

I vote for Reefs! I buy them for myself, husband and two boys. We all love them. I have worn them several times to Disney. They cost a lot more than a regular pair of flip flops but are definitely worth the price.

Do you think I can return the Venice Keens? Walking around Manhattan was the first time I wore them. I cringed every time I had to put them on.... actually dreaded picking them up and sliding my sore feet BACK into them. Now, that's BAD for a shoe that's supposed to be a hiking/walking shoe.

I got them at an online store....TravelCountry.com. Ever hear of it?

I think I'll head to REI this weekend to return a blue pair of Venice (I said I was a dork, didn't I?) and grab a pair of Teva Mush while I'm there. Maybe a pair of Crocs and Mush will be all I need? I have no clue about Reef but am willing to try them on if I get to a mall before it's time to pack!

Thanks!!

Check for the reefs at REI. They should have some. If you are going to be at Universal during your trip they sell them in the surf store (can't remember the name) at Citywalk

Teva Mush! :thumbsup2 No Blisters! Try REI
These get my vote too! I bought them for our last trip and they were great! Of course you have the occasional person walking too close and stepping on the back of them, but that is with any flip-flop! Back off people! ;)

I love my Nike flip flops! I got them last year and wear them constantly (especially around the house, as an alternative to slippers). They cost around $20, and they are so comfortable. I think the tops are made out of neoprene (spelling?) - the stuff they use for scuba wear. I love them so much, I bought two extra pairs!
