This site is offering too good to be true RT rates. HOWEVER, it's for members only, which is not free.
"Due to the exclusivity of this particular offer, it requires a $64.95 processing fee for the mail-back piece, which will allow you to fly a companion anywhere in the mainland U.S. and Alaska for $99 roundtrip. That's not much when you look at all the benefits you receive, including two free airport club passes, 7,500 bonus airmiles and 10% off fuel for a car rental."
Anyone belong, or know anything about this? Sounds too good, which means...

I get the chills thinking about joining a club! Look how priceline.com fell apart. They ask for too much! I just received a $103/rt non-stop airfare on US Air from CT to Orlando for Oct-Nov. If I never travel with them again, what do I have to lose.

Oh, I found it on Orbitz.com - US Air could not match it. You do need to register, but the cost is free.

Best of luck, L

Luv2Roam,

Nicks my last post. Placed airfare ressie with Orbitz and got the bait and switch! See another thread for details.

Do not use Orbitz.com - had to make complaints to US Air and AMEX because Orbitz.com changed my non-stop flight into a connecting flight (in one day)! Then they refused to credit my card.

US Air came through for me.

Beware of Orbitz.com - a money making scam!

I have had a Best Fares membership in the past for work. They have been around a long time and are a legitimate business, but.... they can't always give you what they advertise and sometimes you wait a LONG time on the reservationist. You have to travel a lot to make it worth while. I do still use their website since it does show discounts etc...

If you see a good fare, go ahead and call the Best Fares number for tickets, even if you are NOT a member. I did that once to find out if one of the advertised fares was in fact available so I could decide whether it was worthwhile to become a member. I explained to the lady my purpose. She did not outright say "you do not have to be a member" to buy their specially priced tickets; but she kept saying "we won't turn you down for a purchase if you are a non-member", which is essentially the same thing. The prices, along with the traveler agent fee, turned out to be so so. Anyway, I don't think you have to join bestfares to buy their advertised tickets.

Do a search on this topic - I've seen it covered extensively. I wouldn't bother with BestFares. The "deals" are rarely available, and they won't tell you the flight info, just the price. They'll only give you the flight info if you're ready to book. I have it and I almost never use it - it's just as easy to find things on your own.
