We want to do a Disney Trip in the Fall of 2007 and are trying to decide which month is the best for weather. So......for those in the know.....September, October or November? Thanks.

We have been in October. Weather was exceptional. Rain, no a down pour one day, but nothing that would spoil a Disney trip.

We will be going back in October 2007. The parks are not too crowded, and the weather is still nice and warm to enjoy the pools and water parks. We debating going in November, but are afraid it will not be warm enough for swimming. (Kids and I get cold easily)

Happy planning! :sunny:

P.S. Welcome to the DIS boards.

October. I've been to WDW in September and it is still a little too hot and November was a little too cold for me to go in the pool. Most of the time October is the best month.

I would say don't go in September. It rains a lot in September (however not many people in the parks, because all the kids have just gone back into school). Plus I think you run a higher risk of hurricanes during that month.

We've been in October and thought the weather was beautiful. Very little rain. Crowds are easy to handle etc.

We went just this past November, and didn't find any problems with weather either. Maybe just a couple of days it was a bit cooler (we are from Canada, so we have thicker skin!! :rotfl: ). The crowds were fine. I would just say it was a bit to cool to swim at night. But during the day, it was fine.

Have fun with your planning.

We went over Cdn Thanksgiving last year (2005). Had a couple of hours of rain (in the evening mostly) but nothing that lasted.
Did a quick 4 day in Sept 2004 (between the 2 hurricanes) rained every afternoon for a couple of hours, hot and humid....
November is our favourite time to travel... go almost every year for oldest dd b-day.... great weather and rare bit of rain. Find out when Jersey week is!!!!
We swam all three months.... :o)

October!
Not only is the weather nice there is also Mickey's halloween party and the food and wine festival!!

We have been there twice in October and loved it. The weather is just perfect and the crowds are light so most rides are walk-ons. Make sure to book the MNSSHP if you go in October as it is a great time!!!!! We are going again this October and can't wait. We just changed our plans, we were planning to go this May, but after discussing our last trip we realized that we just had too much fun at the halloween party and with the small crowds there, we should go again at the same time. We used to go in the spring but there were large crowds and the weather was sometimes not great.

I'm sold! Sign me up!

October does have a a lot going on, but my favorite is November. The prices are lower, the weather is cooler, you're outside of the main part of Hurricane Season, and the parks aren't as crowded. (October is a prime Convention Month.)

Oh this will be great then as our dates are going to be Oct 28th to Nov 11th! :cool1: :sunny:

How did you fing the crowds over the Thanksgiving weekend? We are worried that it is also Columbus Day in the US. We arrive on Friday Oct 6 for 8 nights. I'd hate to be shoulder to shoulder for the first 3 days of our trip because of the long weekend in the US.

I was there for the Columbus Day weekend, last year. That Saturday was very busy, shoulder to shoulder in the MK that night. However, I understand that alot of people went in Oct last year because there were so many hurricaines - peoples' vacations were pushed up and the free dining special was on in the 1st half of the month.

I have been in both months and I preferred Nov. Mid seventies to eighties in the day but you needed a light sweater at night.

We went in October 2003 and it was great. MNSSHP is definitely worth it!! All of us had a ball (ds, dh & me). The weather was wonderful and we only had a "sun shower" (about 10 minutes long) on 2 days..........it was incredible. We are now dreaming of going this November after the American Thanksgiving.........I hope this is a dream come true!!
