Best Eye Cream for dark circles

Can anyone recomment a eye cream to combact dark circles due to age? I have worked so hard to lose excess weight. Been using a night cream to combat wrinkles. Now if I can just work on my dark circles under my eyes. I hate getting old.

I have found that Clinique All About Eyes works the best for me. Does not completely get rid of eye circles but they do seem diminished. I also use concealer over foundation.

The worst time for me is allergy season and I believe some of it may be genetic.

FOr an eye cream I use Mary Kay Firming Eye Cream. It seriously reduces wrinkle, firms the under eye area and have light reflective properties to reduce the appearance of dark circles. However if you have serious dark circles you could look into also using the Mary Kay Targeted Action Eye Revitalizer. It makes a drastic difference for dark circles and under eye puffiness. It's a roll on serum that can be used twice a day along with your eye cream.

I have major, major dark shadows around my eyes. My suggestion is:

DermaBlend cover cream, used for dark shadows, birth marks, etc.

I have been using it for over a decade. It is not cheap - $30-$35 per 1 oz jar but a 1 oz jar will last about 5 years if you are just using it for dark circles under your eyes. To keep the 1 oz jar from being contaminated I transfer a small amount into a separate small container and use from the small container. I store the larger jar tightly sealed until more is needed.

garnier makes a gel in an eye roller that I think works great. It's under $10 so it's worth a try before buying expensive stuff.

I'm 22 of Portuguese descent and I've become resigned to the fact that my hereditary dark circles (I think its a pigment issue olive-toned people have in my case) will always rival those of a woman 3x or more my age. They do vary with sleep but even my perfect well-rested self looks sleep deprived to others.

I have found Make Up For Ever's concealer works. I went to Sephora and asked if they had anything that could cover it up, and the lady there matched it to my skin tone very well before I bought. It is very light, and a small drop or two goes very far - I don't anticipate using up my tube for a LONG time. I think I paid mid-twenties for it.

Do you wear foundation over it or can you wear it alone? At the tender age of
51, I am glasses-free for the first time in 42 years following cataract surgery. What I am finding is that the glasses hid both wrinkles and dark circles. I don't wear foundation but I will need some under-eye concealer. Like the OP, I need recommendations.

I used to buy it from Penney's but I think they no longer sell makeup, you might try a similar store for the product.

Or you could send an email to Dermablend and ask which stores in your area sell their projects or if they can send you samples for color matching. I do not know if they send samples but I think it would be a good selling promotion.

What I like about Dermablend is I put it on in the morning and that is it for the day. Other cover-upsI have tried would wipe off or wear off within a couple of hours.

I've always had to wear undereye concealer for dark circles (thanks genetics ). The only thing I've found that makes it better is more sleep, more fluids, occasionally a cold compress, and allergy medicine when the allergies flare. Creams don't do a thing for me.

Now my problem is that now that I'm older I've noticed that on using concealer it makes those fine lines stand out as it settles in. I use eye moisturizer first, which hasn't helped. I've tried changing products, using primer, gently stretching the area just a little to smoothe it out while I apply the makeup, using less, etc, to no avail. Anyone have a method or product for undereye concealer that doesn't make the wrinkles look worse?

I have reddish blonde hair and that fair, thin skin that sometimes goes along with having red hair. I have had dark circles under my eyes all my life. Nothing seems to cover. The last time we took a cruise they were having a spa special and I had my first facial. I was amazed that the dark circles lightened up and I looked better than I ever have.

I also have chronic sinus problems so I am assuming that the thin skin and pooling under my eyes are made worse by sinus but I never would have guessed that a 'face massage' would do such wonders!

I have very fair skin and dark circles. Allergies do make them worse, so keeping them in check helps. I finally bit the bullet and tried some creams. If you go to Sephora, they will create samples of all of their creams for you. I found that Shesiedo's White Lucent does wonders for me. It's expensive, but you only use a tiny amount. You should be able to get a sample of it at any department store. If it doesn't work in a day or two, it's probably not the right product for you, but if it does, you might find it to be worth the money.

I'm actually really bad with using foundation (makeup is often a 10 minute affair before class), so I wear it about half the time without foundation. It's really light feeling and I think it looks fine.

Maybe you can go into Sephora and have them put it on you without foundation on so you can see how it looks?

Dark circles can also be a sign of Anemia. The dark circles themselves are sometimes nothing more than red blood cells clumped together in your delicate eye area. I had them really bad at one point. When I started my IV Iron it diminished greatly. I still have some but that is from another illness I've been battling for a longtime now. I use cover tone (concealer) and that worked for the most part. I no longer have to use it after having my Iron replaced intravenously

I use either Lancome or Estee Lauder concealer. The lady at the Estee Lauder counter gave me a great tip. She suggested stirring eye cream and concealer together, then applying it under the eye. That way it goes on very smoothly, and doesn't tend to settle into the crease.
