Best Experience with a Fast Pass

Shockingly, mine was at Expedition Everest, barely weeks after it openned. Everyone in AK seemed to be in the standby queue, so the fastpass was priceless. It takes you right to the entrance of the first seat line, which takes barely two minutes. (probably because they don't publicize it). All in all, the wait was about five minutes, making it our best fast pass experience. :wizard: :wizard:

EE does have an incredible FastPass line. You never have to merge with the standby line.

My experience was also with Everest. After riding Kali River Rapids, a CM handed me a Fastpass to go try out the new ride. I asked how intense it was and he compared it to Big Thunder Mountain. The park was only open for 45 more minutes and I wanted to do EE and figured I'd never get on.
This was right place/right time pixie dust.
The "not merging with the standby line" makes more sense now, because I keep reading about the theming and pre-show stuff and I didn't remember seeing much at all with the Fast pass. You just kind of walk through and there you are.

I was also happy to get a "Surprise Fastpass" for Mission Space while getting one for Test Track--I wish that happened more often. It didn't really look like we needed one for Mission Space when we got there...oh well.

I've got lots of good FastPass stories, but my favorite came last fall at Tower of Terror of all places. We asked the cast member at the line entrance for the baby swap fastpass. He handed us a couple of extra fastpasses along with it. It was cool becaue DS got to ride it three straight times with almost no waiting - twice with me and once with DW.

The cool thing was the cast member never broke character - which at ToT is pretty aloof. We thanked him anyway :thumbsup2

We were at MK one night during Thanksgiving week in 2003 and it was a zoo! I have never seen MK so crowded. My husband and daughter gave up and went back to the room after the fireworks. My 10-year-old son begged me to stay and ride Space Mountain. I said okay. We went to Space Mountain and the standby line was 90 minutes. I almost cried because I knew I had to stand in that line since I had promised my son. We were in line for just a few minutes when a man came up to me and said, "Is it just the two of you?" When I said "yes" he handed me two fastpasses. He could have given me a million dollars and I wouldn't have been as happy! It's one of my favorite WDW memories.

Soarin! My family just LOVES this ride, but I'm bad about waiting in line. I don't think I'm ever in EPCOT without a fast pass, and it's usually for Soarin!

For EE, my family has had the best luck by getting there early. DD and I have ridden twice, both times standby, and waited 5 minutes the first time, and 15 the second. Both of those were right at park opening though. I really enjoy the themeing in the standby for EE. While I love Soarin, there's really nothing to see while you're in the line.

Our Best FastPass….was a “virtual” FastPass

During our 1999 trip, my DH and DS (then 6) were so looking forward to trying the new ride, Test Track. We had to skip Disney the year before…so this was our first experience with FastPass. That first night, we eagerly arrived at EPCOT only to see all the FastPasses gone. What’s this? How can they be gone? And the wait for the ride was 2 hours!

So we cautiously approached a Test Track CM….(because he really looked like he was having a tuff day) and asked him how could there be no FastPasses left. When he told us why…. you could just see the light go out of my DS’s eyes. All this child talked about was Test Track for an entire year! And here he was….just steps away…but he could not get on. But this wonderful and obviously very tired CM looked at my DS and said….”Come on, this one is on me kiddo!” and he put us right in the FastPass line!

I will never forget my DS face as we entered the queue for the first time…how wonderfully exciting and noisy it was!! But what got really got me…..our DS glanced back at me and my DH with such a look of “Wow…I must be so special” as we walked right up to the front of the line. Even though we love Test Track and ride it every trip, it just cannot compare to the first ride because of what that CM did for us.

We always remember him when we talk about all of our favorite “magical memories”

Our best has to be the day that we were at AK for opening and just as we entered the park a CM approached us to see if we would be the Kilamanjaro Family of the Day. We were thrilled! :goodvibes It allowed us to be the first to ride the Safari (with no other guests on our bus), and a family fast pass that was good all day! True Pixie Dust!

last summer i pulled four fast passes. two for toft and two for rockin rc. i always keep an active fast pass or two. the rest of the family left and it became obvious that i wasn't going to use them either, i was leaving the park and they were coming due within fifteen minutes or so. i think they were spaced about a half hour apart. as i was heading down sunset away from the rides, i saw two young ladies heading past me with great purpose. i stopped them and asked them if they were heading to those rides. they said yes, so i handed them those two sets of passes. made their day and mine as well......
