Best Excursions with kids?

I will have my 8 year old daughter and almost 4 year old son when we go next year. Looking for suggestions for fun excursions/adventures or things we should put on our must do list.

They might enjoy the zoo in honolulu. it is small and kid friendly. My kids liked it last year. Parking can be a nightmare though.

If your kids are pirate fans, Hawaii Pirate Ship Adventures is really fun and campy. They have water canons to shoot at passing ships, sword fighting lessons, and the kids get to pull up a treasure chest from the ocean. It's too bad that their Groupon and LivingSocial deals are only for Hawaii residents and military now though (I guess they got popular), so it's a little pricey.

The Dole Plantation is touristy, but the train is fun for little kids and the maze is fun too if it's not too hot. There are stencils in the maze that you have to find and collect on a little card. DS (5 at the time) really enjoyed that. But good thing we had DH to navigate with the little map since I'm pretty clueless.

I'm going to have similar age kids as well. I was thinking maybe Sea Life Park.
