Just wondering what people's thoughts were on the best sit-down dinner at Epcot for toddlers and parents. My husband and I don't have picky tastes, but obviously toddlers do. I also know some have different forms of entertainment. Some of my ideas were Mexico, Japan, or Morocco. I would love your experiences and input.

I consider myself an adventurous diner, to a point. (I won't eat organ meat, but I'm totally open to new flavors.)

However, I hated hated hated Morroco. Maybe it is because I live in the Detroit area which has a middle eastern restaurant on every corner. For whatever reason, I thought it was very boring and bland. It holds the place as my most disliked restaurant in all of WDW.

I haven't ever eaten in Germany, but it sounds like a great place to take kids because of the entertainment.

My fave place in Epcot for dinner is France - absolutley delish! My DH's fave dining memory is eating outside in Italy (I was back at the room napping). Perfect setting and perfect food. It's been a year and I am still hearing about it!

Remember, whenever you go you are still in WDW, so every place will be appropriate for kids. And every place, even icky Morroco, has hamburgers and mac-n-cheese.

To be fair, I must add that the hostess staff in Morroco were wonderful. They spoke with my DDs for quite a while and left them with little souveniers. My girls felt they had made friends for life!

My kids enjoyed Biergarten a lot

My kids loved the Garden Grill. There was enough to see to keep them quiet and entertained and I thought the food was good. (I loved the kids tenders and mac and cheese!).

if you don't care that it is a buffet, i'd say beirgarten also. they had a nice selection of "normal" food ( ie roast chicken) & more german things also. i don't remember seeing any mac and cheese but it could be there( wasn't really looking for kids"cusine") a roughly 20 min music show which i think starts on 15 min after the hr( has time on allearsnet)

Le Cellier is also "meat and potatoes " type food and has a kids menu. no entertainment either

first few times we went to Mexico we loved it then it became expensive taco bell. the menu looks a little better now but haven't tried it for a few yrs. the atmosphere is really nice though, like sitting in acourtyard at night and the ride boats go past if you sit by the "river" which might keep the little one occupied.

Morroco have only eaten at counter service which we liked( not sure if it's the same prep ts or not) what we got was very flavorful

I think almost all the restaurants have "kid" food on the menu. Check out www.allearsnet.com for menus if you haven't already.

This time we chose Morocco, because we think the entertainment will be fun and I have read many rave reviews on the food. And of course, I made sure they had burgers or chicken strips on the menu for my boys! Our last trip we ate at Rose and Crown, and while the food and service were excellent, I wouldn't say it was "Fun" for the kids. I think your best bets would be Morocco, Japan, Germany or Mexico for something somewhat entertaining for the kiddoes.

I don't really think that there is a bad choice and as mentioned earlier, all restaurants have children's menus. That being said, your kids might enjoy a restaurant with some sort of entertainment, such as Marrakesh, Biergarten, Teppenyaki, Garden Grill or Coral Reef.

We've tried them all and like them all. DD7 has eaten at each several times since age 2. We must have always been to Marrakesh on a good day. It is actually one of our favorites restaurants. DD7 loves the cous-cous with veggies (she tires of chicken fingers after about one meal) and loves watching the musicians and belly dancer. She has even joined in the dancing a few times! The others are very good too, I just wanted to defend one of our faves.

Enjoy!

Our kids have been to Le Cellier, Coral Reef, and Marrakesh. They have all been fine for kids. My DH and I have also been to Mexico and Bistro. I probably would not take my kids to Bistro, but I am sure you would see kids there. It is somewhat quieter than the rest. My DD loved the dancer at Marrakesh. We liked the food, but I don't think it was anything fantastic. Le Cellier was the best food, but not a lot of atmosphere. I love the atmosphere in Mexico, but it has been 10 years so I'm sure the food has changed. I don't think you can go wrong giving your kids a new experience. They all have friendly kid food.

What do you all think or Teppanaki? I was thinking watching the chefs in front of them would be fun?

Well, our boys have fun at Benihana- the same idea. They're not "ga-ga" over the food, but they like the noodles and the chicken and some of the veggies ok. The show makes the food fun! (a most embarrassing moment- I often cook grilled chicken at home, but 99% of the time when we go out to eat, if the boys get chicken, there's breading on it....we go to Benihana for my birthday this year, and my 7 year old gets his chicken and says, "Where's the crust?" I wanted to DIE  I swear I give my children healthy food, honest!!! ::yes:: )

The food hasn't been so great lately, I know, at the Coral Reef. But, when I was growing up it was my favorite and the most entertaining for kids to just sit there and watch the fish.

My 2 and 3 year olds loved the Biergarten. Lots for them to eat and they loved the music.

My kids also liked sitting outside at Rose and Crown. They got a cute plastic Epcot cup with characters there too.

We recently took my kids to a Japanese steak house, and the fire scared them. Depending on the chef, the fire can get pretty high/big and some kids might get scared by that.

They also liked Mexico. My son loved the volcano.

Most WDW restaurants are kid friendly - pick what you like and they will have to go along.
