Hi there -

We don't have a priority seating anyplace for dinner the day we are planning to spend in the Future World section of Epcot. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a place to eat where I won't need a PS?

Since we're doing World Showcase on another day (and have a PS for Rose & Crown) I'm trying to avoid going too far into WS for dinner that night. I'd prefer FW suggestions but I wouldn't mind eating at one of the WS's that are close to FW or have the ferry service :) .
(we don't want to do The Garden Grill since we'll be there for the ice cream social that afternoon)

Thanks for any advice! :)

We ate at Coral Reef during President's week without a PS. Had about a15 minute wait and it was definitely worth it!!

We like Coral Reef too! I find the restaurant a little pricey but it is a cool dining experience eating dinner with a view of the large aquarium filled of various marine life. Other than Coral Reef, I don't find any of the restaurants in FW worth the time and/or money. The two closest countries to FW are Mexico (San Angel) and Canada (LeCellier). Both have very nice sit down restaurants. LeCellier is a very popular restaurant on these boards while San Angel often gets mixed reviews. I think both are good but neither great. Depending on the time of year (and day of the week) you are visiting, you can probably get into any of these without a PS...or too long a wait.

I think that Coral Reef is mediocre food , at best! You can get wonderful seafood elsewhere at WDW, (Spoodles, Flying Fish, ). I thought it was very overpriced for the quality of the food. Although the atmosphere is fabulous. We are veterans of many WDW meals and we will not return to this place! If you must eat at Epcot..you really should venture into WS. Maybe Cantina outside at Mexico..I would recommend the food in Morroco at either the take-out or the sitdown(you can often get a table without a PS), or Yakitori in Japan.

I would suggest the outdoor cantina at Mexico, also. You don't have to go far. It is just inside the WS. (When you are walking into WS, go to the left and Mexico is the first country.) The combination plates are all good, reasonably priced and you can eat on the patio with a view of the Lagoon. The margaritas here are pretty good as well! Enjoy!

Hi,

I would suggest the Norway buffet. Not to far in WS I think. Its not as expensive as other restaurants and you can eat as much as you like. When I was there two years ago we didn't need a Priority Seating and the restaurant was about half full.

In FW I think there isn't much more then the Garden Grill and Corral Reef. I'v read much posts that the Coral Reef is not worth the price. It should be only a must do for its atmosphere, not to eat that much there.

Marcel.

FW offers mostly counter service style restaurants -- which do not require PS.

The sunshine season food festival in the Land is your basic food court type w/ lots of selections.
There is salads, BBQ, sandwiches and meals offered.

The electric unbrella is your burger, hot dogs, chix fingers fare.

The 2 sitdown FW restaurants are the Garden Grille or Coral Reef.

More selections can be found in WS.

Try Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. The food is good, the atmosphere great, and I've never had to wait for a table.

Why don't you try the Sunshine Season Food Fair in The Land? It is like the food court at the mall. There is a wide variety of food so everyone can get what they want. There are different counters that sell pasta, soup, salads, potatoes, BBQ, and ice cream. It gets very crowded at lunch (between 11am and 1pm). I don't know how crowded it is at dinner, but we enjoyed our meal there.
