I was wondering what most peoples favorite Ecpot area resort is. My favorite is the Beach Club:sunny: ! What do you guys think??

Well, actually, my very favorite resort is the Wilderness Lodge, but when I have my very favorite nephew traveling with me, then my very favorite resort is the Beach Club, as that is his very favorite resort, and since he is my very favorite nephew, I like to make him happy!!:teeth: Plus, you can't beat the location of the Beach Club, not to mention being able to swim at Stormalong Bay, and then there is Beaches & Cream. Can't wait to go in July, with my very favorite nephew, of course!::yes::

My favorite Resort is WL ::yes:: But this past September I stayed at BWV now I wont be happy until I'm able to purchase points there...We had a beautiful room and great view. My DN loved the pool and slide.

We have enjoyed the Yacht, Beach and BoardWalk and between the 3, we loved the Beach club. I like the decor, the service, and the concierge staff is great. The pool is a major plus... a great way to spend an afternoon with the family to relax... so my vote for favorite Epcot resort would be.....

BEACH CLUB

Sticking with the original question I vote for the Swan with the Dolphin right up there...and voting for my favorite resort in Disney World I vote for the Swan with the Dolphin right up there!!:p :hyper: :teeth:

Hey TeresaNJ, if you want, I will gladly be your "new" favorite nephew. Heck, I'll even pay for dinner one night!

Glenn;)

I have stayed at Yacht, Beach, Swan and Boardwalk Inn

My favorite is the Yacht Club, which just edges out its sister Beach Club because I prefer its spiffy nautical decor! Both hotels are very fresh and clean. They have the best pool on the property, Stormalong Bay. Yacht Club is my 10-year-old son's favorite hotel--we all know the kids are really making the long, expensive trip to Florida specifically for the POOL. Alas, concierge at Yacht Club is not available for our next trip, so we are staying at the-----

Boardwalk Inn, which is just as beautiful and fresh, but not as quiet as Yacht and Beach, because the night life is on the Boardwalk Inn and Villas side of the lake. Read--more people and noise per square foot at night. Also, the POOL is not as COOL.

Swan is terrible, not a Disney, but a Westin, resort. Decor, upkeep and design are subpar. Sorry cheerleaders, but this hotel does not measure up! I would stay---GASP--OFFSITE!!!!--before I would stay there again!!!!

I would have to vote YC and then close 2nd is BWI. I have never stayed at BC and have no desire, I don't even know why. I tried to get the YC for Novemeber but all they had was concierge and water view rooms so I am staying at BWI for hundreds less and in a standard view, we are never in the room long enough to worry about a view :D

Hopefully ours will be the Yacht club since we will be going there for the first time in November. We like the idea that we would be able to have a balcony and that it was close to everything. We also liked the diea of how many people recomended this resort.
We don't have Children and we are both 40 so it all just fit together that this would eb the best place for us.
That being said..... I want to try EVERY deluxe..... So I'm sure we will eb coming back again and again!!!! :teeth:

I would have to vote for BWI! We stayed there in 2002 and just fell in love with the resort. We stayed at BCV in Sept. 2003; and while we thought the resort was beautiful and really enjoyed our stay, we really missed the atmosphere of the BWI!

That's the great thing about Disney---there's something for everyone!:teeth:

With the rapid decline in service and morale at all the Disney resorts, I'd have to go with the Swan/Dolphin.

Glenn, you are too funny!!:teeth: Actually, the OP is my dear, very favorite nephew!! He really loves the Beach Club. mostly, I think, because of Storm Along Bay. The Beach Club was always my favorite resort, until I stayed at Wilderness Lodge. Sticking to the original question though, the BC is my favorite Epcot Resort. I've stayed at the BWI and Villas, and although a great location, I really don't care for the decor. The rooms at the BWI are just too "busy" for me. Way too many conflicting prints. The BWV are okay, but again, not my style. I love the "beachy" atmosphere of the BC and the BCV. I think they have a very relaxed feel to them. I've never stayed at the Yacht Club, but have toured it on numerous occasions, and the decor is beautiful, but sort of austere to me. I feel like I should be "dressed to the nines" whenever I walk through there. I think it would be ideal, though, for childless couples who want a more sophistacted-looking place to stay. I've been wanting to try the Swan & Dolphin, and could get the great nurse's rate there, but it just looks so cold to me. Very pretty, don't get me wrong, I love the Dolphin lobby. I just don't think I would have that "Disney" feeling staying there.:D

My vote would be for the Beach Club. We stayed in the BCV last year and loved it.

We've stayed at BWV, BCV and the Dolphin and we most enjoyed BCV. I agree with a previous poster who said that the BC/YC side of the lake is quieter -- less hustle and bustle, which I appreciate. Also, you cannot compare the BW pool with Stormalong Bay, esp. when you have kids! Although mine really enjoyed the BW Luna Park pool and the S/D pool complex, none is as interesting and varied as SAB... I also love the Cape May Cafe's character breakfast -- and BCV's close proximity to Epcot... All in all, this is my absolute favorite resort at WDW!!

Take care,
Sarah

BWI is our favorite resort in WDW. The concierge service is wonderful, the resort beautiful, and you can't beat the atmosphere. Our first stay at the BWI was this past December and I was very nervous about switching from the GF to the BWI, but within one day, I felt like I was home. Just a lovely place.

We've stayed at the Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin. Now I love the pool area at the Beach Club the the Grotto at the S/D is a really close second. But the overall service and ammenities at the S/D are much better. Having Tubbies on site is a huge plus for a quick meal or snack. The rooms (especially now that they have been redecorated and have heavenly beds) are not only spacious but clean. We have always gotten an upgrade if its available and staff is amazingly helpful and considerate.

So far have stayed at YC Conc and BWI Standard. I think I like BWI better but just a hair. I loved the elegant lobby decor and the porch on the BW side w/rockers to relax in. Plus our Standard room had great view of EPCOT fireworks. I liked the brass beds and room decor. The YC was nice too but BWI felt more homey/comfortable to me.

Have the Dolphin comng up in May. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised and find that just as good but am psyching myself that as long as it's clean that's ok. The price at $147 a night AP rate for Lake View can't be beat by the Disney EPCOT resorts.

Sharon

For us it is BCV versus BWV since we are DVC members - we prefer the views/location of BWV but prefer BCV overall due to SAB

thanks
