Best electric toothbrush

Another vote for sonic care. I had one for over 10 years before I had to replace it. Every time I go to the dentist they tell me that I'm doing a great job flossing... I never floss unless I get something stuck between my teeth. (snicker, snicker)

Even if it's a little more that $100 it's well worth it.

I have found my molars are more sensitive to cold after using the sonic care electric toothbrush since December. Any suggestions, I have been using sensitive toothpaste helps some, but cold salads and ice cream send me through the roof.

The Sonicare brushes are not hard, could it be your fillings? When was your last check up?

I use an older Oral-B and buy the replacement brush heads at a warehouse club. The Oral-B I use has the single head and I find that works well, since I have a small mouth. It allows me to brush all the way around my back teeth.

May was my last check up, did a great job on the plaque, but the sensitivity I can't take. It is just strange all 4 molars are sensitive. Never had a problem before.

Hygienist here.....I think sonicare and oral b compete often. I personally still believe in the sonicare techology. Worth ever penny in the long term health and use of your teeth.

I Love, love, love the Sonicare. When the battery finally died in my first one, my dh convinced me to try to OralB so we bought a 2 pack. We used them for less than 6 months, and I had a lot more problems with gum sensitivity. DH liked it ok, because he had never used the sonicare. After 6 months, I waited for a coupon and bought us both Sonicare brushes. Will never go back to oralB. The only bad thing is the cost of the replacement heads. I think they a pricey, and the generic brand doesn't seem to fit very well and vibrates differently.

Really, I think it is just a matter of preference, because both the Oral B and Sonicare seem to get really good reviews. I will tell you that it took my gums about a week or so to get used to the sonicare at first.

Another vote for Sonicare. I used to have to go to the dentist every 3 months due to my sinus issues affecting my dental health. Once I started using the Sonicare the change was 180º. I can now go every 6 months and each visit I am told my dental health is top notch. This is a far cry from before and the only difference is the Sonicare.
