We recently got a MacBook Pro and like to be able to create family movies onto a DVD that will play in our DVD player. What program do you use or recommend we get to use? We had one that was already programed into our old Dell computer that worked great for us. Like something easy like that one to work with that isn't to into the details that we'll get confused using it. Love if it could work with iMovie too. Just started playing around with that program but don't believe that burns a DVD playable in a DVD player.

These directions call for IDVD and my MacBook doesn't have it. I checked and the app is not in iTunes Store now.

According to the Apple store they stopped supporting IDVD a few years ago.You now need a third party app. We have been researching this for a while now and it sounds like Toast is one of the better ones. We have not used it yet so I have no first hand experience with it.Maybe someone else knows more about it and can chime in.

I don't know if you can put the footage onto a DVD but for editing video my son's school uses the adobe video editing software. you can possibly investigate the DVD issue. My son loves the software so much he asked if we could buy it for home.
