Needing recommendations for a nice Downtown Disney area hotel? Wanting to stay there one night before checking into BWV. Any suggestions would be helpful!

I've stayed at the Hilton - room was very nice, big and clean. Closest hotel to DTD so we were able to walk across the street and shop... we even grabbed a resort bus and got dinner at a WDW resort the one time we stayed there (two nights). Mini fridge in the room; we grabbed breakfast items at a little spot in the lobby and brought them up at night to eat in the morning before heading out. We got a room for about $100 per night... I'm sure there is cheaper in DTD, but I preferred a name I knew.

We stayed at the Royal Plaza two weeks ago for a night. I got an amazing price directly through the DTD hotels' website---$55 per night (plus fees and tax)---about a week ahead. It was very nice and very clean, not overly large, but there was even a pullout chair for the 5th person in the room. No fridge, but we planned for that with a really good cooler to hold our food until SSR check-in the next day. The walk to Earl of Sandwich in DTD was 15 minutes from our room, 10yo in tow.

We stayed at the Doubletree the year before which was also quite nice. It was about $100 for that same night this year, so we went with a new-to-us place.

We have to look for rooms that sleep 5, so no Holiday Inn or Hilton for us.
