Best DL Hotel for Couples?

I'm looking for opinions as to some good hotels for couples at or near Disneyland. Besides the Disney properties, it seems as if everything is basically your average Holiday Inn type hotel, and most suites are family suites with bunk beds. We would just like something that is a little more upscale than average, and always looking for the best deal (best room for price paid). We are planning a trip over President's Day Weekend, which also includes Valentines Day!

Other than the Disney properties everything else is, in general, nothing special. I am sure the rooms at the Hilton and Marriott are nice but not particularly romantic. One option is the Candy Cane Inn. It is a two story motel with exterior corridors but it has a nice garden court theme to it and the rooms are pretty inside.

What about the Sheraton Anaheim, the one that looks like a castle? http://www.sheratonanaheim.com/ Not walking distance but it looks really really pretty. I remember my mom stayed there about 15 years ago and still raves about!
