Best Disney Resort For Toddlers

Hi...this is a little off subject, but I see that you have traveled with triplets. We are going to WDW at the end of march with 10 month triplet and a 4 yr old. I ws hoping to see how you do it and how you managed.

If your kids are like mine, a calm resort is necessary to get a break from the overstimulation at the parks. One of the AS resorts would have put our DS over the edge, and I'm not sure it would have done well for our two DDs either. We loved the FW Cabin the week we stayed there. Got to "borrow" someone's OKW time share and would do that again in a heartbeat if we could. If we got back, the FW Cabin is tops on our list again! Can't beat having a separate bedroom, a kitchen and a deck. Plus it's just so calming to be there.

I think you need to decide what you and your kids want out of this trip. Most 2 year olds are not going to get much out of the rides, even at the MK. What my two 2 year olds loved was meeting the characters, the parades, the fireworks, and of course the overall feel of the parks. For us we wanted a place that was quick and easy to the parks, had a great pool and had many things to do onsite itself. We chose the Y&B resort and it fit us to a tee. You can walk in to EPCOT through the International showcase entrance. People dont realize it but EPCOT has the most character meet and greets, has a kidscot playstation in every land pavillion, while it also has many places to explore all sutible for toddlers. From the Y&B club you can also take a 5 minuite boat ride to Disney/MGM and see those parades, Bear in the big blue house, etc...This resort also has the best onsite pool for toddlers which is a huge 1/4 acre 8inch deep sand bottomed kids pool. The sand rises out of the water in certain parts where the kids play in the sand. It (along with the rest of the pool area) is almost as good as the Typhoon Lagoon. Want more? The Y&B club has a great walking path around a lake that connects it to the Dolphin, Swan, and Boardwalk hotels and the whole Boardwalk shopping and (very kid friendly) bar and resturant district. My daughters loved to walk by themselves out of the stroller on these wide paths and see the ducks, the magic shows, stilt walkers etc.....Also from this path you can see both the EPCOT and Disney MGM fireworks. We took a picture of them walking on this path with the hotel in the backround and recreate this photo verytime we go to see how they've grown. Take my advise, stay here, take a bus to AKL and the MK ( or you could take the monorail from EPCOT to MK) and spend most of the time where you and your husband will have a vacation without stress AND your kids will love it............TAZ :wave2:

Hi we're planning a trip w/ two 2 year olds, our 1st Disney trip as a family! Since there is so much info on this board, I would love some personal opinions on which resort inside Disney is best for toddlers, in terms of in case they get burned out from the parks and we end up at the hotel for a good chunck of our stay, Ive heard Animal Kingdom has animals to watch, any other ideas? THanks so much for your input ::MinnieMo

For us, nothing beats a monorail resort for convenience with toddlers. The Contemporary for the walk, and GF and Poly for the pools.

They all have great character meals too!
