BEST disney honeymoon hotel for ONE night??

Hi all! So, FH and I decided to break away from our timeshare for one night and stay at a disney hotel!! YAY!!! We're going to do that on our last night in Orlando, I think... which also happens to be my *birthday* ... before we go to Daytona for another week. So please tell me--what is the best place to stay if we're only staying for one night and want a little bit of special honeymoon treatment? Any particular rooms in any particular hotel? We don't want to spend more than $450-500 if we can avoid it. I've been looking on the website and in books, but they all look great so I can't decide.

Wow your date is coming up soon! I haven't been, but I really want to stay at the Grand Floridian and Port Orlean French Quarter. People have said wonderful things about the Poly. I am sure you will get lots of responses from people who have stayed at all the resorts!

I am staying in the Wilderness Lodge for my honeymoon September 30-oct5, 2006. But I have heard the grand Floridian is amazing....good luck.....

I have stayed at all of Disney's deluxe resorts except the Contemporary (which is on my list for 2007, LOL). Each of them honestly has its own charm and appeal. Based on pictures you have seen, do you have any favorites yet? My two favorites are the Grand Floridian and the Animal Kingdom Lodge, even though they are very different resorts with unique themes. Do you plan to go to a park, because if you do that could help decide--for instance, if you're going to Epcot you might want to stay in that resort area or if you're headed to the Magic Kingdom you might stay in a MK area resort.

It kinda depends on what you like. My fiance and I aren't big on the Grand Floridian though we've gone there to look around on several occasions. I always feel underdressed when I go there. But that's just us. We ARE big animal people, so the Animal Kingdom Lodge is perfect for us. Plus that's where he proposed to me. We love just sitting on the balcony and watching the animals together. AKL also has a Savannah Romance package for two where they bring a nice dinner to your room and set it up on your balcony. It's expensive, but we're thinking of splurging on it anyway.

We did POLY for our honeymoon, and I'd recommend it even just for one night. There are hammocks on the beach!
