Best Discount you have seen

These are discounts since 2003 :)
POP $49 (3 times)
POR/FQ/CBR $79 (3 times)
Poly $209
GF $255 (best room ever!)
AKL $109 (Savannah view upgrade too)
CR $155
YC $199

Sure wish I'd gotten in on the 40% last winter - would have been back at GF in December instead of the Swan! :)

We stayed at the Caribbean Beach for 74 per night and the Wilderness Lodge for 114 with a pool view. These were annual pass rates. I have also received emails and mail offers for the Value resorts in Jan for 49 per night but have not gone.

$199 a night (including tax) at the Grand Floridian. This was in November 2001 (two months after 9/11 so the travel industry was really hurting then).

Back in January 2000, I received a postcard rate for CS at $79.00 night. About a week before I left, CRO called and asked to move me to the GF at the same rate. I had a dormer room and it was fantastic.

40% off room rate this fall @ GF...We saved around $1000...nice!

Yup, that's the best rate I've had access to, as well. It seems to be a historic low when you consider that it was offered for any number of reservations during more than a dozen weeks during the year (for people who had that code). At one point, I had four ressies all 40% off (ended up 'just' with one, though now I'm almost kinda regretting *not* keeping one for F&W to go with friends -- couldn't get the group organised in time :-( ).

Disney got one ressie from me at 40% off at a Deluxe (when we weren't planning to go at all, and wouldn't normally think of going above a moderate or DVC rental price), *and* they got a dec code ressie from my aunt -- plus all of our rack rate tickets and Dining plan costs. The entire trip was inspired by the postcard pin code -- so evidently marketing "discounts" works to bring in new as well as returning customers. As we're travelling with two doting grandmothers, I'm sure there will be some extra souvenir/gift expenses as well
:-)

Wow, I think that's the best Deluxe-monorail rate I've seen in this thread. Nice!

The best room only deal that I have gotten was in Jan I booked CR tower w/ MK view for 266, that was w/ tax for this month. I let it go b/c we were getting a better deal w/ the free dining package.

Boardwalk Inn for $210 a night for Christmas Week 2004, that was an awesome rate for a holiday week stay. :thumbsup2 It was a public room only code.

I booked a moderate room package for only 87 dollars more than a value room package with the code for this December 8th-17th.

May 1991 - Contemporary Tower at less than $100 per night, included full breakfast each morning and a discount on the passes. This was during the first Gulf War when gas prices soared and tourism went south.

Also got Animal Kingdom Lodge in December 2001 for about $125 per night for a deluxe savannah view room. I was upgraded to concierge at check-in for no additional charge. Of course, this was just after 9/11 and Disney was offering all kinds of deals to get attendance up.
