My DW and DD 9 will be flying in on Thanksgiving and I was curious if anyone has dined at Disney on the holiday. If so which restaurant would you recommend that I make an ADR for? I know each restaurant puts their own spins on the holiday classics, I am just curious if there are any that really stick out.

I would love to know too. I can make my ADR's on May 25 and I want to be prepared! :thumbsup2

In MK: Liberty Tree Tavern. -Lunch Menu -Dinner Menu

In Epcot: The Garden Grill (The Land). -Menu

Both generally offer the more traditional "Thanksgiving Fare."

We wanted an American feel, but perhaps a little more jazz to the menu, so we ate at Artist Point this year. It was a set emnu with 3 options and we just loved it.

Yeah I have to agree with Robo on LTT. They serve Turkey / dressing / etc and it's really good.

I like LTT, too, but I am planning to avoid MK on Thanksgiving. So, we're thinking of going elsewhere for a non-turkey dinner on Thanksgiving and then going to LTT later in the week.

LTT is good but MK is CROWDED!

Of the places we have eaten on Thanksgiving, we oreferred 50's Prime Time. dh and I had a traditional turkey/dressing meal and ds and dd had fried chicken (which they much prefer).

Now, as far as parks go we really liked AK on Thanksgiving Day on our last visit. It wasn't crowded at all that day but we ate at Boma and didn't like it. So, this trip I am planning AK but looking for somewhere else to eat.

I know I'm in the minority here~ but we had LTT one year and honestly, our whole family (7) was disappointed. It wasn't Thanksgiving Day~ but we still had turkey and dressing and the works~ I just for some reason wasn't impressed~ not nearly as good as I'd hoped. It could be that my expectations were too high. IF we are in the MK on Thanksgiving Day, we prefer Crystal Palace.

We always eat at Cape May...What is better than Thanksgiving feast and a seafood buffet

DW and I ate at Liberty Tree when we were there in '06 for Thanksgiving. Since I'm not a huge turkey fan the roast beef was a clincher for me.

I totally agree with Robo !!
Liberty Tree Tavern at MK or Garden Grill at Epcot.... Both fantastc. ;)
LTT is my FAVORITE !!!:cloud9:

In 2009 we stayed away from the parks and cooked in the house we rented. It was a nice break from the parks and was truly a relaxing day after 5 days in the parks. We are going this TG as well and plan on doing the same thing.

Although I will be subscribing to this thread to have a back up just incase we don't want to cook this year.

My husband has food allergies and we'd love a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Cape May sounds good. Please describe what their meal is like and if anyone could describe the T Day meal at Grand Floridian Cafe that would be great. Thanks!

Boma hands down! Best meal we have had, fabulous selections and a great "thanksgiving" pod with turkey and all the fixings!

This could be a great option since we are staying at the AKL. My DD9 is somewhat picky, does the menu have some common cuisine?
