There is a fabulous thread going around about desserts at table service restaurants. Was wondering where your favorite dessert was from a counter service ? And if you have photos to share with the rest of us, that would be great.

Anything at Sunshine Seasons in the Land at Epcot.
They have a whole case of desserts. We've had ice cream, Key Lime Pie, Strawberry Shortcake, all were yummmmm! And they are included in the dining plan!!!!!

Yum - I realized when I clicked on "subscribe" that all but one of the threads I've subscribed to are food-related. Not sure what to make of that. :rolleyes1

Kringla Bakery in Norway has great desserts. On the dining plan you could choose from any of them. That school bread was great!

One of my favorite places is the French bakery in Epcot...can't wait for that fruit tart in June...only 39 more days!!!!

My current favorite is the Napoleon from Le Patisserie in EPCOT France. :thumbsup2 The eclair is good, too, but it would be better if the filling were vanilla custard instead of chocolate IMHO. Most seem surprised that it is chocolate.

There is also an excellent chocolate rasberry layer cake at the Fountainview Cafe.

There is a little counter service place in Adventureland, right near the Swiss Family Tree House. This is my FAVORITE dessert :)

My DD and I went back a couple of time and ate here just so we could have the fruit tarts. They are so good!

Must be a Connecticut thing, that is my fav too!!! Cannot wait to have one of those scrumptious napoleons, the pastry cream in it is AMAZING!!! Oolala!

Here is another recommendation for the French bakery.....EVERYTHING my husband and I have ever ordered here has been absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! We seem to visit it at least once every trip :teeth:

Add me to the French Bakery list... I have to agree w/ Paul in CT about the chocolate inside instead of vanilla but it is still FABULOUS. My DH isn't big on sweets but always gets a desser when were in WDW.
Also one of my favorites is the Main Street Bakery. They have a 9 yes 9 layer chocolate fudge cake that I would die for. It's not served all the time so I make it a point to check during each visit to the MK.

Another vote for the bakery in France in EPCOT. We got desserts from there two or three times our last trip. I always have to have a Dole Whip at MK.

There is also a bakery in MGM that has some good pastries. I think it is called Sweet Rolls or something like that. We got some good ones one day and went back in a few days, but they were closed.

I also tried the schoolbread thingie in Norway. I like coconut, but wasn't too impressed with it. I will skip it.

I miss the beaver tails by Canada. They haven't been there for a few years.

A funnel cake in EPCOT is also good. I think they have them in MK too.

Oh, I can't take it! I am more than ready for the desserts of WDW (especially Epcot's)! U.S.A., France, U.K., Norway, Italy, Mexico...yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy...yummy! (Sorry; I couldn't resist.) ;-D

*~* Did you say FREE DINING?! *~*

Both DS and I had the peanut butter bar cake. We both love sweets. He loved it, I didn't. So I don't know whether to recommend it or not!

Another good dessert is the hot fudge sundae at the Plaza on Main Street in the MK. It's especially good if you can watch Spectromagic while eating it at one of the tables outside. :goodvibes
