Best deluxe resort for thanksgiving weekend

We are planning on doing a split stay thanksgiving week. We are doing Caribbean beach first half then switching to a deluxe second half. Any suggestions on which deluxe we should try? Leaning towards wilderness or contemporary. Three of us, two adults once child, girl age 8.

Seems like a MK deluxe could work well for you. At CB, you'll have Skyliner access to EP and HS. A monorail resort with access to MK could be very nice and convenient. Just make sure you bus to AK at some point, but you can do that from either location!

If you’re interested in Christmas decorations and holiday ambiance, I’d highly recommend WL or GF. Convenience, I’d suggest GF or CR. Enjoy!

Don't count out Swolphin. They can be much cheaper, and they count as deluxe for the late after hours.

Christmas at WL is a tradition for many people. I live in this theme, LOL, so I don't really get it. But the lobby at Christmas really is magical, you can look a Youtube video of it.

As an overall resort, especially during the holidays, I would recommend WL. If you are more interested in location and access to MK, go with CR. The overall theming and ambiance is better at WL, IMHO.

WL can’t be beat for Xmas feelings. It would have blown my mind to stay there as a kid with it’s 6 story Christmas tree in the lobby! Well, who am I kidding? It still kinda blew my mind as an adult

We stayed at WL over this past Thanksgiving. I couldn't imagine better theming and decorations. We visited Grand Floridian and it was just a cluster with the masses visiting the lobby/gingerbread house there.

I would choose the Contemporary for my 8 year old .
and for Me !
Actually that is exactly what my tradition is for my grandchildren every year They love BLT for NYE .

It really depends on what parks you plan to visit on the 2nd half of your Split stay. The parks tend to build attendance starting on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and peaking usually on Saturday Night at MK.
