Best Decorated Hotels For Christmas?

We are planning a long weekend in Disney during the month of December. We have been to Disney many times but never during the holidays. We are very excited to see all the holiday decorations. Which hotels are decorated the best for Christmas? Thank you for all your help.

My first pick would be WL- it is Christmas perfection! Warm and inviting and elegant. My next pick would probably be the GF and then BW and BC- all of these are beautiful and elegant, but the WL has that warming inviting essence that you look for at the holidays! You'll walk in and your jaw will just drop.... it's that beautiful!

I agree.
If you are lucky, like we were a few times, you may visit while choirs or handbell choirs are singing/playing. It was wonderful. We visited Yacht and Beach while a very nice older gentleman was reading THE POLAR EXPRESS to the children. I love that story. It was perfect!

WL is the best. Also the Grand Floridian's tree and Gingerbread House are really cool

I have to join the band wagon when it comes to the best decorated for Christmas - the Wilderness Lodge. It is beautifully decorated. I was lucky enough to experience the handbell choirs and I even got my daughter (then almost 5) into a Gingerbread House making experience. It was being run in the lobby section of their restaurant (a raised platform). The gingerbread house shells were already made and put togther and then they had every eatable decoration you could think of including a special icing they made that got hard after time. It was an awesome experience and we even had them box it so we could hand carry it home on the plane. It was so COOL . . . (I think I had more fun decorating it than my dauther)

How does PO French Quarter look at Xmas time? We've stayed at WL twice during Xmas time (gorgeous! prob b/c of the woodsy, cosy-ness of it all, and it being a deluxe), and CBR once (fun to be at a beach for Xmas time for once!). Wondering if Xmas clashes with Mardi Gras theme??? I'll be staying there this Dec.

I loved the tree at the AKL! But one of my
favorite Christmas things was the
candy (chocolate maybe?)
'amusement park' at the Boardwalk!
It was amazing. They had a list of
everything they used to make it & it
blew me away.

Purplebelle, I haven't been over there since they re-opened, but prior to their rehab, their decorations included a ton of purple, gold, and green with Mardi Gras beads, feathers, and masks. I would never have thought to mix Carnivale and Christmas, but it sure seemed to work!

Thanks, Exp! Sounds completely ugly (haha)...but most things do until one actually sees it. Disney always pulls it together, too.

They are all beautiful.

We love going to WDW during the first two weeks of December, and have done so several times.

I have to say that the best decorations in my opinion are at Boardwalk. I am a Christopher Radko (mercury glass ornaments) fanatic, and the Boardwalk just reminds me of Radko. There are swags of glass balls everywhere. It is just so incredibly beautiful.

We normally stay at OKW, and the decorations there are good too, in a different way. There are a lot of fish in the wreaths and swags.

The Beach Club is really pretty too. Last year they had a chocolate carousel, as well as a great gingerbread house, though it was not nearly as massive as the one at the Grand Floridian.

We always visit all the resorts to see the Christmas decorations. It will be time well spent if you choose to do the same!

For me....GF & WL tie for best.....with AKL being a very "unique" third!

Definitely WL. When you first walk in those lobby doors and see the giant christmas tree..... wow... really takes your breath away!

Then add to that the gigantic fireplace with its fire going, and christmas music in the background... heavenly.

GF was beautiful in a more muted way. I love the gingerbread house they put up there. That was cool.
