Hey all,

I was looking through my past Disney stays (to see how much we've donated to the House of Mouse over the years) and was surprised by a couple of them (being less than I remember paying). One seems to be an outright steal. So it got me wondering, what are some of the best promos/deals/etc folks have snagged at (including all WDW resorts, Swolphin and DS hotels). Here are mine:

October 2023 - DoubleTree. 3 nights, $157.53. Total - with taxes and everything. Same room for the same time period this year is $577. The hotel was under construction during our stay, so I'm guessing that's why the price was so low.

December 2020 - Four Seasons. 5 nights (in a one bedroom Golden Oak view suite), $6432.75. Not necessarily a "cheap" room, but the same room this December is an eye-watering $28,738.15 for the same 5 nights. Disney was just opening up post-pandemic, which explains the "low" price.

Renting DVC points through the boards

2018 - BWV studio for $180 a night

2025 - AKV studio for $238 a night

Last year I was able to get a confirmed DVC reservation for a 1 bedroom villas at Boardwalk for $250 a night.

It was the very first time I took my 3 (then, elementary) aged children. It was 1999 and our school district was not able to complete their renovations through the summer. Because our opening of school was delayed by 2 weeks, I was able to get All Star Movies for $74 a night. Those days are LONG gone!

In 1998 we got a water view room at the Grand Floridian for $325 a night. That included the Magic Kingdom Club discount. The only time I stayed there. It was a great stay but not nearly my favorite resort.

In the winter of 2009 we got this deal:
Stay 3 nights in a Disney World Resort and get 4 nights free, plus a $200 Disney Gift card

We also did this in 2009. I believe we paid $2800 for 7 nights at CBR, 7 day hoppers, DDP for our family of 4. Plus the gift card.

We also did the travel exclusive magical deal in August 2015 and paid $189 a night for BC and $200 a night for Poly. We did a split stay of 5 nights each resort.

There’s a deal now for June to July that gets you ASSP for $99 a night. Lowest I’ve seen in a while!!

2013 Art of Animation Nemo suite $189/night (Disney Visa Card offer for new resort)

In 2017 we got not only a great deal, but an unheard of triple discount. In September 2016 I had booked free dining bounceback reservation at CBR for September 2017. This was the regular dining plan with a table service, a quick service & 2 snacks per night. In March, Disney announced the Riviera, skyliner & CBR construction projects. The main building at CBR was being closed for remodel, there was no food court or restaurant. A tent was set up with a buffet & a few food trucks were brought in. There was a big uproar. Some people were moving resorts. When I called I was told we would have to lose free dining & have to pay rack rate if we moved to a different hotel. I was offered $100 / night discount at CBR. The CM applied the discount to our rate right then.

The internet was blowing up with furious people, a lot of people were calling CRO & getting lots of different answers about moving, Within a few hours of when I got the $100 off, people who called were denied that discount. The next day, Disney sent an email out to anyone with a CBR reservation for the rest of the year. That email said we would receive $75/ night on a Disney gift card when we checked in. Yes. We got all 3… free dining, $100 off the room rate & a $525 gift card for our 7 night stay when we checked in. The total cost for our stay, including food, was about $75/ night. The hotel was a mess, there was dirt everywhere & getting around the resort was a challenge, food options were extremely limited. But what we paid, amazing!

In 1994 when Wilderness Lodge opened we got a corporate discount for $90 per night!
I rent DVC now and had AKL Savannah last fall for $130 per night!

Wow, some really amazing deals here, thanks all for sharing. It's crazy how the prices have increased not only over the past 10-15 years but also over the past 3-5.

I remember that fiasco. I'm sure Hospitality courses use that as an example of how NOT to handle a major renovation.

In September 2016 we paid less than $200 a night at Beach Club. It was an agency deal. We could have stayed at the Poly for $200/night, but we really wanted the Beach Club for the pool and proximity to Epcot. It was an absolute steal!

Our past few trips we have rented DVC points from a close friend. In Nov 2022, we stayed in a 2 bedroom lock-off at Boardwalk for 8 nights for $2200 and we split it 5 ways. This past October we stayed 8 nights at Kidani in a 2 bedroom savannah view for $3100 and split it 5 ways. We saved so much money this way.

In 2002 we only paid $169 a night for the Cabins at Ft. Wilderness!!! A few years around 2012 I was able to get a 2 bedroom villa at Parkway International Resort for $69 a night (don’t know what it is like now, but back the. It was really nice) and DD and I rented points in a preferred studio at SSR last September for $200 a night, at that stay I snagged a bounce back offer for POFQ, Feb 2025 and was upgraded to Yacht Club so that stay was $250 a night. Haven’t done too bad over the years. Of course we had some stays that we paid entirely too much as well

Not long after we became parents WDW started sending us crazy good offers which enticed our first trip. Room, tickets, airfare and rental car for 5 nights POP in late Jan 2006. $1,400  That package also came with a choice of complimentary character meal or dinner show (we picked Spirit of Aloha). The only thing not covered was food and souvenirs. I remember we splurged on a $85 My Pal Mickey. Still have it!

In 2021 we rented 5 nights at BWV for $700 total.

It was right after 9/11 and everyone was afraid to travel. A 7 night stay at the Royal Palm Club at the GF for $412 a night. Club level and a theme park view looking over the Marina! That trip spoiled us forever. Years later we had 2 standard rooms booked at the GF Royal Palm Club for a family reunion and upon arrival we were brought up to the 5th floor and given a 3 bedroom suite free upgrade. The prices they are asking for a CL stay there now we will probably never stay there again but boy it was great while it lasted!

In 2018 we rented DVC points and stayed in a BWI studio for $180 a night.

The "magical" deals a certain agency used to have at the Poly. We got then standard view for roughly $350/nt in 2017.

I am staying 3 nights in a king room at the Swan over Labor Day weekend for less than that though, through Amex.
