just to confirm. costco offers tickets that don't expire 14 days after you use it?
i was at universal last summer and was told that they don't offer tickets that expire anymore.
for years i would buy a 3 day pass and would go 1 day each trip, but i have not been able to find these tickets for the last few years
I bought the ones Universal was offering last winter, $99.00 for two parks seven day tickets. I bought three of them planning to use one during my solo trip in May and then using the other two in Oct when my husband and I went back down there. When I got down there I decided to upgrade mine to an AP instead and then my husband upgraded the second one when he went back with me in Oct. I still have one of those $99.00 seven day tickets left over. With the current prices I'm glad I do. I think I'll just renew my AP when it expires this May and save that $99.00 ticket for another year or two. It looks like it will be cheaper to renew my current AP than to use the $99.00 one (since I go to Florida several times a year).

I haven't see a good deal since HP openned. Two years ago I bought 2 day park hoppers for 1/2 price ($50 each). Still sitting on them because the trip got cancelled that year. Hoping to use them this summer. They use to offer us passholders great prices on tickets, but since HP openned the offers are not as good now and haven't seen that promotion in awhile. It's always a great deal when us passholders can buy 1/2 price tickets for our friends and family.
not sure if the GE discount is around anymore since they sold controlling ownership of NBCU last month. it might still be available since they still own 49%, but it might not.
Since we plan on going back next year(and 3 days is not enough for even one trip for us), I am getting us APs. They are $229 and you also save the $14/day parking fee and get 15% off multi-day tickets for friends and family, as well as discounts on merchandise and food. I guess you can get discounts on the hotels as well, but we can't afford those prices even with a discount.
No one has mentioned Maple Leaf yet, so I will. Their prices are pretty comparable to Undercover Tourist, but occasionally I've found crazy deals on park-to-park tickets... we snagged seven-day tickets that cost us the same as a two-day ticket normally. We only planned a day or two at US/IoA on our trip this summer but we couldn't pass up the free days, and plan to visit more because of it. Deals like that seem to happen randomly though.
I would also check often on the Universal board for tips. Folks posting on there seem to know these deals first.
