The day has arrived and I'm wondering where we should buy the movie at. My plan is BestBuy since they have it for $15.99 and you can get an additional movie for $7.99. The additional movie can be wizard of oz, willy wonka or one other I can't remember but my girls would love to have Willy wonka so we'll get that.

I'm going to see if they'll price match the Target or CircuitCity ad that has the movie for $14.99.

Does anyone know of a better deal??

Sams or Walmart always seems to be the lowest price the day a new dvd is released.

That seems like a pretty good deal to me. I do believe they price match, so that would be a good deal.

I think I'll have to stop at Best Buy on the way home tonight. :)

It might be too late now, but we pre-bought our DVD at Toys R Us. Downpayment of $5 and the balance of $7.99 due at pick up, for a grand total of $12.99. Not bad at all for a DVD!

I bought our copy at Best Buy, and got the DVD "The Goonies" for $7.99.

I didn't think to ask if they would match Target's price, but I bet they would have honored it.

If you have an entertainment book there is a Target $1 off coupon on any video or DVD.

The Shoprite here was charging on sale $16.

I did see $12 somewhere... but can't recall where.

Hey, you can rent it from the library for nothing.. where we are!

Our WalMart had them for $14.90 before tax. I snagged it real quick. ;)

NOtes on price matching..

Best Buy will generally not price match... but Kmart will. Target usually doesn't either. But Circuit does... (at least they used to, call ahead just in case)

Well, thanks to these boards I got Walmart to drop the price. It was $19.99 and I said no thanks that I had heard it was around $15 at Target. They said wait we will match the Target price. They KNEW Target here was $14.99 and that is what the sold it to me for! LOL! (I have had Target match prices, but you have to bring in a print add!)

Our Walmart is near a lot of other stores (target, best buy, toys r us) and they often lower prices on stuff like new release DVDs to match. They don't announce it ahead of time, but they do make it available to everyone at the new price.

Also, Blockbuster video is good about matching prices, but you might want to call first. We have 2 stores. One is a franchise and the other is corporate owned. Only the corporate store price matches.

<font color=navy>We just got ours at Blockbuster for $13.99. That's about how much we would pay @ Sams, I think, so we're okay with it.

Sounds like Best Buy has the best deal so far.

Best Buy did price match to $14.99, I brought a Circuit City ad with me. They were out of the extra DVD's but they gave rain checks so I have one for Willy Wonka and I'll pick it up later.

I've price matched at Best Buy before, they've always done it here as far as I know.

We watched our copy tonight. I just love this movie so much!

I think we'll watch Goonies tomorrow - my son is having a sleepover with 9 other boys, so actually, we may be watching both movies! :teeth:

We got ours at Target for $14.99 and drank our free coke while we watched it :teeth:
But I definately would have gotten mine at Toys R us for $12.99 or Blockbuster for $13.99 if I had known. Oh well Im still happy with my deal.

We watched it last night too. What a great movie!
