What's the best deal you've come across this year (2016) for 2 days worth of fun at Universal?

Asking for 2 adults/2 children who have 2 days and must ride the Hogwarts Express.

No hotel needed, just tickets.

I know your title asks for ioa tix but assume you want info for both parks

Bestoforlando, UO, Mapleleaf and Undercover Tourist are well known and legit places to buy from

The difference between them are a few dollars but if buying park 2 park passes for 4, go with the ones that have the lowest cost

Some include taxes up front others add taxes when you check out and finalize the purchase

Also want to add, to ride the Hogwarts Express you need Park Hopper (Park to Park) tickets. The "best" deal seems to bounce between the ones mentioned.

Depending on when you are going the best deal right now is buy 2 days get one free. Not sure if you want the extra park day, but that's the best deal.

So it seems Universal is just making their annual passes look more financially appetizing... Is that basically it?

The 1-2 day passes seem quite astronomical... If you get 2 days and have a third free, then you aren't far off from getting a power pass, right? (As long as blackouts aren't an issue.)

Yep, and many buy the discounted buy 2 get 1 day free tickets, and then IN the parks, upgrade to a power pass. Universal now bridges. So, take the price of a 3 day ticket, and then the price of the power pass, with taxes, and you'll pay the difference. Use your ticket, then upgrade in the park. Power passes are good, if you do not plan on using during the blackout dates. As above, make sure you get park to park tickets to be able to ride the train. They scan your ticket before entering the train at both stations.

Have a great vacation.

My friend was just talking about IoA so much, it was forefront in my mind! My bad!

Universal 2-day, 2-park...

The best deal I found for tickets was at Undercover Tourist. $223.61 for an adult 2 day park to park ticket with third day free that does not expire May 31 (they do sell a similar ticket for less with an expiration of May 31). Prices do fluctuate though. Right now the same ticket costs $226.88 on their site. Still cheaper than buying direct form Universal.

I forgot to mention Undercover Tourist has free shipping. I believe Maple Leaf charges around $7.
