Best Days to Visit? Help with touring plan.

We will be going to Universal Studios and IOA the first week of December. Does anyone know which days of the week have lower attendance?

Also wondering which rides to ride first. We are huge Harry Potter fans, so plan to spend much of the day there, hitting maybe 6-8 rides outside of HP (and no shows). I know you should go first thing to HP, but also have heard that late afternoon and evening are also slower times for HP. SHould we just do HP on one side first thing in the morning, then some of our other rides at that park, then hop to other park for HP in late afternoon? Or should we try to do all HP in the morning (both parks - before any other rides) and then hit the other stuff later in the day.

Also is one day unrealistic?

If you can do 2 days it would make life much easier. We used both the early entry and the hour or so closing to do the potter areas with lower crowds last week. There is so much to do that I'd focus your time there if you are big Harry Potter fans. You will want to look in the shops, the interactive wands are fun but do take time to do all the spells. The train ride is different in both directions. Plus factor in time to eat in leaky cauldron or 3 broomsticks.

Typically Tues, Wed, and Thurs would be the least crowded. Just make sure there are no school holidays during the week you plan to go. We did 2 days in September. Our first day was a Wednesday, we had very little wait times except for the HP rides which were only around 35 minutes tops. The second day we went on Saturday, not the best plan! Lots of locals and 45-60 minute waits. You will need 2 days for all the Harry Potter stuff.
