Best Days to go in Summer?

Due to out of town guests, we are going to Disneyland in the summer (Ugh) Specifically, it will be the last week of July.

Are there better days of the week to go to Disneyland or check into the hotels?

Summer is never ideal but Tues-Thurs seems the best. Weekends are always more busy with lots more locals coming.
