DF and I are down to ONE WEEK LEFT, and while polishing up the old itinerary (can't leave home without it!) I wanted to be sure that I chose the best days to visit US & IOA, since we won't have those coveted FOTL passes that guests of the US resorts are given (grrrrrrr) ...

I decided on Thursday, October 2nd for IOA and Friday, October 3rd for US. Are Thursdays and Fridays generally good days to visit these parks? I wanted to avoid the weekend, and we'll be at the WDW parks on the other days. Please give me your insight, O' Wise DIS Posters! ;)

Also, can someone please point me in the direction of a list of upcoming refurbs for both parks? I tried the link that was mentioned in another posting, but I just get a "page cannot be displayed" error.

Thanks!

Scroll down on the list and you should find a link to the Refurbishments page. :)

Also, Thursdays and Fridays are generally good. Be glad you aren't going October 16 and 17, because the 17 many people will be over that way (a few counties have no school that day). But for October 2 and 3, I think that will be fine....and I think it's best to do IOA on the Thursday b/c that park always seems to get more crowded, and more likely the crowds will be bigger on Friday, if at all. :)

Hey Firefly! Thanks for your quick response!

I keep trying IOACentral.com but I get "cannot find server" errors. Maybe that site is down temporarily.

I'm glad I chose the right days for US & IOA! I figured the IOA crowds would be bigger on a Friday than US crowds, and we want the lightest crowds possible after seeing the Travel Channel's show about "Spiderman" -- I can't wait!!! :)

Thanks again for the insights!

Hey Scarlet - let us know how Universal is on Thurs and Friday. We are going the week after you and I was thinking of doing these parks on Wed and Thurs (8th and 9th) so we can finish up the week at Disney. I'm very curious about crowds!

Thanks! - and have a great time :Pinkbounc

I just went to Universal on both Thursday and Friday and the crowds were still quite small...no real noticable difference for Universal Studios. :) Didn't even go to IOA either day...not even for a little bit, but from past experiences I know they'd be more crowded (teens and young adults like the appeal of the thrill rides as oppose to what Universal offers).
