Best day to visit thanksgiving week?

We will be in Orlando from the Friday before Thanksgiving to the Friday after. We are definitely doing Legoland on Friday the 18th, but have Sat thru Thurs to do SW. I searched and it looks like most people recommend visiting on sundays, but I'm wondering if this would hold true for a holiday week? It seems like the closer we'd get to Thanksgiving the heavier the crowds will be, so I'm wondering if Saturday the 19th wouldn't be better? We're going to be doing Universal the other days, but we're staying onsite there, so we won't have to worry about lines with the express pass.

Thanks for any advice... and other tips would be appreciated (must see shows, places to eat, touring plan?), it's been many years since we've been there!

Most kids are still in school the week leading up to Thanksgiving. It actually doesn't get crowded until the day after Thanksgiving. So actually any day before that should be fine. Monday is actually the least crowded day of the week. Tuesday, a close 2nd. So I would suggest either of those days.

This surprises me. I'm sure it is super busy after thanksgiving, but one year we went to WDW that week, and it was light crowds the weekend before, but that Monday thru Wed it was incredibly busy. I'll try the Monday though, hope you're right!

We went on Thanksgiving and the day after last year, and neither day was bad at all. Friday they have the Christmas shows and are open later so that might make the decision easier. Also, if you have the time and money, the christmas Luau is awesome. You have to make reservations.
Missy

We are going again Thanksgiving and the day after. And to the luau on Thurs.

Great news! I was so worried we wouldn't be able to do much with long lines, thanks so much!

Well you have to remember too, that WDW is much more popular than Seaworld. In an average year, Seaworld gets about 5.5 Million visitors and a WDW park such as Magic Kingdom gets over 15 Million. That's a difference of 10 million people. So what you would expect as a crowded day for Disney, the same day would be much less crowded at Seaworld.

Very true, thanks. We are so excited to go, I think my kids will love it!
