I am visiting Orlando for 2 weeks commencing 15/8/04 with my 2 children aged 12 and 15. We are staying at the Quality Inn Plaza near the Orange Convention Centre in I Drive. Using the knowledge from no less than 3 guidebooks I have prepared the following provisional itinerary:
Mon - sleep in, shop for food and play some miniature golf.
Tue - Magic Kingdom
Wed - Blizzard Beach
Thu - Busch Gardens
Fri - MGM
Sat - Animal Kingdom
Sun - Wet n Wild
Mon - Epcot
Tue - Islands of Adventure
Wed - Typhoon Lagoon
Thu - Seaworld
Fri - Universal Studios
Sat - Discovery Cove (booked)
Sun - Return to whatever place we liked best followed by a night-time flight home.
Is this schedule realistic?
Is there really an art to avoiding particularly busy days or is it down to chance?
I would like to avoid some of the parks between 12 noon and 3pm and I would be glad of any suggestions on how best to split the days e.g. visit Park A in the morning, back to hotel, visit Park B in the late afternoon etc.
PS. what are grits and what is country gravy?
