Best Day To Visit Ioa?

We are going to Disney the 1st week of May and I have had everything planned for a long time now. Then, much to my horor, my DD announced yesterday that she wanted to go to IOA as well!! About the only days that I could fit an IOA visit into our schedule is either Tuesday or Wednesday...Tuesday being the best. Can anyone advise if Tuesdays are "ok" days to go there?? I want fewest crowd as possible but, because of various ADR's at Disney, I am limited as to when we can go.

For the time of year you are going a tuesday would be fine cause I think the weekends would really packed.

Alot going to depend on The Simpson ride.Peeps are going to think about soft openings, so it could make both parks busyer then usual.

Especially the Studios...I don't think IOA will increase a lot right now. BUT...the thing to do right now is to get to the Studios first thing and head directly over to The Simpsons...at least after they open.

I asked this question once and Guest Relations. They said early in the week is slowest and builds the closer you get to the weekend. I think this is due to the higher percentage of locals that use IOA/Universal than is at the Disney parks.

Thanks for all of the replies!! I just read a few posts on some other sites saying that Sunday was the slowest day to go... That sounded a bit odd to me. I would think that anyday of the weekend would be packed...

I was at Universal this past Sunday and IOA certainly was NOT slow...not incredibly busy but now slow by any stretch of the imagination. The Studios wasn't too bad but the wait times were still 30 mins on most of the rides. Summer season is starting soon and the crowds will be there seven days a week.

I am hoping that it won't be TOO awfully bad the first week of May. My DH has decided that we needed to try to visit both parks the same day instead of just IOA. I know we will hit IOA first and get the coasters out of the way..then probably have lunch at Mythos and head over to the studios. Hopefully we will get to ride most of the headliners without too much of a wait. Does anyone know if any rides are scheduled down for refurb during that week??? Last time we went in 2006 Dragons was down...my DH was crushed..! lol

A friend of mine went to ioa the first sunday in may last year and marveled how slow it was. I think sundays in may are a good choice since spring breakers are gone and field trips that increase during may are mostly during the week.

Btw, I'm going at least one sunday in may too!

I'd say any day except Saturday. Either Tuesday or Wednesday sound good.
