Best day to check in to get what you want

If I was going to try to get a standard studio at BW without walking, is there a best day to start my trip? Saturday? Sunday? I really prefer Boardwalk View so it's not the end of the world if I have to book that, but I'm feeling cheap because I'm having to lose some banked points this year.

What time of year? My initial response would be probably Tuesday or Wednesday check-in. BWV Studio standard almost requires walking certain times of year.

It's not like a tradition timeshare where everyone checks in on the same day, usually Fri, Sat or Sun. People check in on any day of the week.

The 11-month booking issue, where standard studios disappear right at or even before 8 a.m. at 11-months out, exists almost everyday for reservations during DVC's high demand season, late Sep to marathon weekend in Jan. The rest of the year it happens about 65% of the time. There is no better or worse day of the week for when it occurs. For WDW DVC resorts overall, Sunday has traditionally been a somewhat higher check-in day than others and Fri the somewhat higher check-out day, which results from Sun through Thurs being the lower point days of the week, but for resort rooms having an 11-month issue that is meaningless. For example, all it would mean for BWV standard studios is that, for a Friday check-in, there may be 8 studios available, resulting from that many check-outs on Friday, rather than 5 for some other days, while there could still be 40 or more members trying to reserve right at 8 a.m.

Thanks for the responses. I'm hoping my next trip will be in the end part of the year. I'm probably cancelling my January trip, I have until end of November to bank those points. I'll probably end up with Boardwalk view, that's my favourite for a solo trip anyway.
