Hi all

It's only a week and a half until we finally get to return to Universal

I'm just wondering if there are any recommendations as to which day of the week to visit IOA and WWOHP?

It seems that Sundays and week days are better than Saturdays. Any particular day to aim for? or a day to avoid?

I've had a good read through the Harry Potter thread but I cant find a definitive answer to my question so I'm posting it here - hope thats okay homies :)

OMG... that is the cutest little bunny ever (your avatar)! I could just kiss his furry little lips off!

That's Scampi when she was a baby, it is a very cute picture! She was so small then, she is massive now though!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to which day of the week to visit? :confused3

I would love some help with this too. I'm taking my 4 year old daughter to IOA just for WWOHP (it's really for me but she's very supportive :)).

Are Sundays the best day to go? We'll be there from 10/15 - 10/25.

Great question OP

Sundays are great. A lot of people aren't in the parks until after 12Noon for a variety of reasons: sleeping in (due to hangover or out late), church, or having to go back to the airport/back home.

Plus if you go to IOA on a Sunday, there's a pretty strong chance I might be working...somewhere :darth:

How are crowds currently at WWOHP? Or IOA in general? We will be there on Oct 26 (that's a Tuesday). DS11 and I are hard core HP fans so we will brave anything but the rest of our crew could care less. I'm trying to decide how to work the park day at IOA with the girls and DH.

I was just there this past Wednesday through Monday. We were in IOA and WWOHP on Thursday morning, Saturday morning, and Monday morning. Thursday, we did breakfast at the Three Broomsticks and then hit the attractions, probably around 9:30. The lines for Forbidden Journey were 20 to 30 minutes all morning, only getting longer around Noon. The same can be said for Olivander's. Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff were merely walk-ons.

Saturday morning, we got in there early around 8:30ish (we were onsite guests at HRH). We rode FJ a couple of times before the line started to reach the 45 minute mark. This was around 9:30 or 10am. We then switched over to the other rides and left WWOHP when it started to get really crowded around 10:30 or so.

Monday morning was our last foray. We made a beeline for it once again early, riding FJ again with no wait at all. When we got off, the line had reached the 30 minute mark around 9:45ish. We got some more Butterbeer and left to do some more of IOA. When we looped back around by Noon, WWOHP was in full swing. The line for FJ was at the hour mark, Olivander's was insane with an hour and a half mark, and the lines for Butterbeer were as long as I'd seen them. I'm guessing people were like us, getting a last visit in at the end of a long weekend.

All in all, the crowds were pretty good. We made it a point to go early so we could do what we wanted without much of a wait. If you go on a Saturday, go early.

When I stopped in last night FJ had a longer line than normal (40 min) it was preview night for HHN so I am sure that was the cause. I would be sure to avoid HHN nights if you want to miss the crowds in October.

When did you stop in? Before 5PM?? I can only be there on HHN nights so I'm hoping by 5 everyone will be over at HHN and I'll have a couple of hours of lowish crowds.

Nope- I got there right at 5pm. I was still able to ride, though. I also made it onto Spiderman just before closing.

We were at IOA on Sun, the 12th and Thursday, the 16th.

On Sunday we got there around 10:30 am and we had a 20 minute wait on FJ; Hippogriff was 5 minutes. They were both faster than stated.

On Thursday, we hit IOA around 9:20 am. The line was already at 40 minuntes, but the line was down to the 3 Broomsticks already, so I wonder if that was an accurate time. We did the single rider, about a 8 minute wait, then we did the walkthrough. The walkthrough was better than the ride, IMO. We were able to take our time, and really enjoy the atmosphere, plus get some great pics. We left around 11 and the FJ line was listed as 60 min.

I think Sundays will always be your best bet. The weekdays are probably a lighter, but I think it is hit or miss on how busy it is on that particular day or time.
