Best Day- Jan 1st, 2nd, or 3rd?

We are planning on going to Disneyland for the first time on either January 1st, 2nd, or 3rd (we will only be in town those days) and we were wondering what day will be the least busy? I have heard New Years Day can get packed in the afternoon but what about the 2nd or 3rd? This year that is Friday and Saturday.

We want to be able to ride as many rides as possible! Thanks!

We will be there those days, and I am assuming it will be crowded on all of them. If you can get there early on the 1st, that might be the best. People will be sleeping in after ringing in the new year, so you can get the jump on them. Also, people who come from out of state for the parade or bowl games will be busy in the morning and afternoon, but show up later and throughout the weekend.
Whatever day you go, look for me. I have a lime green Mickey head on my pink lanyard. Say hello if you see me.

I bet they will all be busy. LavenderPeach and I are going on Jan 1 and 2. We are thinking the same thing, that maybe the morning of the first will be less crowded because everyone was up late. She also thinks traffic should be good then too. We'll see!
