Best Day for Star Wars Opening Weekend?

We will be visiting the weekend of May 16-18, 2014 which is the opening weekend of Star Wars Weekends. My question is, what day should we plan to visit DHS? What day is most likely to be less crowded? I'm assuming Friday but then wondered since it is the very first day will that make it more crowded than other Fridays? Please give me your best advise wise Jedi. May the force be with you…

Fridays generally SHOULD be great, but with it being the very first day there will be lots of people there because of the excitement and to get their hands on the limited release merchandise. My guess is to stick with the Friday and make the best of it. The longest line that weekend might be at the checkout of Darth Mall.

We really just want to see the parade and the night time fireworks, any ideas how to just plan our day around that stuff? Will there me Fantasmic as well as the fireworks?
