We’re looking at going during the week of Memorial Day. We’ll be spending almost all our time at Disney, but we want one day to go to Universal specifically for the two Harry Potter lands, with no strong expectations for the rest of the park. We’d probably spend a fair bit of time in Diagon Alley, go on the two major HP thrill rides and the Hogwart’s Express, and visit the Wand Shop. By the afternoon, we’ll take what we can in the way of easier rides in the rest of the park. No kids, and we’re getting to the age at which there’s a limit to how much our bodies can stand being thrown around, but Despicable Me and other theatrical attractions (with or without simulators) are good.
I’ve checked 2 or 3 crowd calendars, and they have different opinions, with one saying packed all week, another with some variation including a couple of good days, and a third that somehow managed to skip from April to June without May. All I’m trying to do is to pick the one day to visit Universal, so that I can book my WDW dining reservations around that.
Any suggestions, beyond the obvious of getting there first thing in the morning? Pointers to other day by day crowd calendars?
