Best dates to go to see Christmas at Disneyland?

Just an update--I called guest services this morning to get some more information, and the manager there confirmed to me that:

The Candlelight Processional will be Dec. 1st and 2nd

She couldn't confirm a bunch of other things, but this she knew for certain. She also pulled up last year's schedule for December (just like Disneyfan did for me) and said it looks very likely that there will be fireworks most every night (except for high winds) so we would probably see them both nights there.

Could you tell me do they do fireworks on Dec 3 and 4th even though the park closes early because CM parties?

Yes, on those nights the fireworks are at 5:45, right before park closing.

So the only thing missing is a couple of hours in the park from 6pm-8pm?

The parades were at 4:30 on that Monday and Tuesday of last year. You can check the December entertainment schedule from the link that I posted on the first page of this thread. Yes, the only things missing as far as I know are the 2 hours that DL closes early on those days. DCA will stay open later to compensate for this.

Thanks so much for checking on this! We want to see the CP so we already booked our reservations for that weekend and I hoped it would be then. I'm not even sure if we can go now since our finances have drastically changed this month (loss of a job , but I'm not ready to give up yet.
