Best cross body bag for the parks (not Vera)

I was checking to see if anyone recommended Kipling. I like them just as much as Baggalini and if you aren't picky about color, you can often find one or more colors of each style at about 50% of the regular price (on Amazon, macys.com, etc)

My favorite Kipling is the Aisling style - I like the outside pockets a lot for phones, etc.

Love my Baggalini crossbody that I purchased several years ago. I was looking for a new one but the new crossbody messenger doesn't have the phone pocket in the strap. That little detail is what I love most about my bag (fits my iPhone 6) - I can have my phone accessible and where I can feel it (on vibrate) if someone is calling/texting, and can quickly access if I want to take photos. I have searched for a new one with the phone pocket with the other features of the bag that I like (cross body style, water resistant, great storage, elastic water bottle pocket) but nothing I've found really compares. I do like the new Baggalini crossbody - if only it had that phone pocket! I was able to score an old style Baggaline on eBay for $20. My old bag is still going strong, but now I'll have a back up! :)

I have an old baggalini cross body that I've grown tired of.
This was recommended by a fellow dis member. I bought it and love it...

I have looked at this bag a couple of times. The last few years I have carried a drawstring bag, but I am considering something different. Tell me what you like about this bag. Does it hold a lot? Not that I carry too much. Also, it is easy to take through security? How did it do in the rain? Sorry, for all the questions but I am just trying to decide whether or not to order it. We leave in less than two weeks.

Kipling! I own several, they are very lightweight and washable! The zipper quality is fantastic and it's great to keep things organized. The strap width is also comfortable.
Which style do you have?

What's a Vera cross body bag?

Vera Bradley bags. Colorful bags in many sizes/styles. They have cotton exteriors, although I had no problem with mine this year getting gently splashed on a couple of rides.

I have a Baggalini Zip N Go (don't think it is still available) that I have loved, BUT it has a TON of zipper compartments which can be a pain at security. That is why I went to a Vera this year: I wanted something smaller with one zipper.

I love my Kipling bags!

I have two that are great for the parks (the smaller Sebastian and bigger Erica styles). They are lightweight and I love the pockets! I've gotten really good deals at Macy's during sales, and they are also on Amazon

Has anyone used the "On the Go" belt free pouches I've seen on QVC?? They look really neat but i wonder if they would work on jean material!

I have seen those but I need something that will hold more but those are neat.

Ebags has some great cross body bags. I have both the piazza day bag and the terrace mini. I carry the terrace mini with my phone, lip balm, cards, etc. at the ready. On our next trip, the piazza will be the diaper bag and go in the stroller basket. There are several great bags on that website though.
Just checked out the Piazza day bag. I really like that one. The Terrace mini is nice too but a bit small for me.

I haven't used it yet. I like the pockets, I like that it's light as a feather. My stainless bottle fits in the side pocket. And the other will fit inside. My 8x8 hard cover photo book (personalized autograph book) fits perfectly with room to spare. It's not too big and it's not too small. It's just DD n myself.. couple phones, charger, car keys, credit cards, markers, money, baggies. I wouldn't swim with it. And I usually will put electronics in a baggie inside while on a water ride. Often times I'll have a big bag folded up inside to drop my pack in on water rides just for insurance.
I also like the fabric that'll be against my skin in august. It opens up nicely so security should be able to see everything in it. I can wear it on the front or the back and there's a clip on either side of the bottom of the bag for the strap..
