I've been a loyal Citicard customer for years now, which got me "Thank You" points that I recently used to purchase our airfare for our upcoming WDW trip. As such, I don't have many points left, and I'm thinking of switching to another credit card with a better rewards program. I've spent, on average, $1000/mo on this card, and paid it off each month, but it seems like it took a really long time to get to the amount of points I needed for 2 roundtrip tickets (Orange County airport to MCO). Plus, I started with 25,000 points, I think...can't remember, but I know they gave me a ton of bonus points for signing up.
Anyway, recently I've gotten offers from Virgin America and Airtran for their cards, as well as Capital One (No Hassle Miles) and Discover. I have good credit, and for the past few months, was debt free (except our mortgage).
I'm kind of hesitant to start up a new credit card, but I'd like to start saving up some sort of reward points for our next trip (WDW or elsewhere). I know most people love their Disney Rewards Visa. If we were only going to use the rewards for Disney travel, is it still the best option? What about rewards that can be used for non-Disney travel? What card do you use? Why do you feel it's has the best rewards program?
