I know Mr Sanchos, Playa Mia and Paradise beach all have inflatable beach water parks. Is there one that is better than the rest? One that is harder / more challenging to get to, etc?

They all seem equal online and all have gotten good reviews. I will have a 6 yr old as well as an 11 yr old attempting these.

I've only been to Paradise Beach. There were around 15 inflatables. They were really large, and somewhat difficult to get on (for my 47 yo self and dh.) My 11, 14, 17yos played for several hours on them. They are in fairly deep water (6 feet at least), and several are behind the first row of them, meaning you won't be able to see behind them. Make sure your kids are strong swimmers. That said, I really liked Paradise Beach. The pool is very nice, it's clean, and the food and service were very good.

do they have swim vests available?

We have only been to Playa Mia, but sounds quite similar to PP. The inflatables are large and can be hard to get on to. DH and I went on with DS 7 and we just hauled him back up when necessary (and me at times, at 50, not as agile as I used to be). It was huge fun and swim vests had to be worn by everyone, including adults - they were provided.
The pools and slides were also great.

do they have swim vests available?

yes, swim vests were provided if you wanted, but were not mandatory.

Please don't depend on a swim vest to save a child. Make sure they know how to swim up to the conditions they will be in. Yes, the vest can help them with added support, but they are not a substitute for KNOWING how to swim.

yes thank you. all my kids know how to swim. They are stronger swimmers than I am, actually. I know we will be using lots of energy for this and I just need them to be in vests for my own piece of mind. i once got a leg cramp while snorkeling in hawaii ( no vest) and I could not get myself back to the beach on my own and my husband didnt notice i was struggling for a few moments ( felt like forever). I was not in very deep water either. I want the kids in vest so that if it is crowded, they become tired, lose their balance, etc, they have an extra layer of protection.

Excellent!! :)

There are some people who DO rely on them rather than swimming skills, and it can have disastrous results.

We have only been to Playa Mia. They were a little difficult to get onto, but we managed. They had swim jackets. We had a lot of fun though.

Our experience at Mr Sanchos was the same. I thought it was extremely hard to get onto the inflatables and my husband hit his foot hard doing so which hurt the rest of the trip. My kids loved it - they are extremely strong swimmers (15&13) but we even had to help them get up onto some of them which isn't easy while you are treading water! :) We loved it there though we had an amazing day!

Did you get a chance to snorkel at Mr. Sanchos? if so, how is it?

We didn't snorkel there so unfortunately I can't help out with that part. My girls wanted to go horseback riding there so they chose that instead. They both declared that one of their favorite parts of the entire cruise. They absolutely loved it! Other than that and the inflatables we spent most of the time relaxing on the beach and in the pool. It was a great day! They did snorkel at Grand Cayman and CC so they picked something different to do at Cozumel :goodvibes
