On our first visit to US in 2000, went to a grotty counter service restaurant at US - don't know its name but remember where it is in order to avoid this time. Please help me find something better is US (shouldn't be too difficult as nothing can possibly be worse!)

In 2001 went to IOA and enjoyed Circus McGurkus so we'll go there again, but are there any other recommendations - we're staying at RPR for 4 nights, so we'll visit IOA more than once.

Cafe La Bamba & Louies are good in USO in IOA Burger Digs & Enchanted oak are good:jester:

I'll second the suggestion for Enchanted Oak at IOA. It's definitely the coolest of the counter-service eateries and the food is also far better than average.

The menus at some of the places have changed. I forget what Circus McGurkus was serving back when it opened but I remember stuff like Alphabet Soup and the like -- right now it's fried chicken, pizza and spaghetti (and a chicken Cesaer salad).

We used to love the Monsters Cafe at USF but it's not the same anymore. The Johnny Rockets-esque Mel's Diner usually works.

To be honest, the table service restaurants aren't really all that much more than the fast food places (well, Mythos may be an exception) and the two table-service places in each park are far superior to the pushtray fare (IMHO).

DO NOT go to the International Food and Film Festival. It was terrible. We did enjoy the Enchanted Oak. The atmosphere was great and the food was quite good and HUGE portions.
