What are the best places to ate Counter service meals where the children are not stuck with Mac and Cheese and PBJ? My kids will flat out not eat those things and I am sure 8 days of Chicken nuggets will get old fast.
So what Counter Service Locations have more appealing childrens choices or no child menu and kids can order adult meals?
Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

WDW has the WORST children's menu choices i have ever seen in my life! They could throw in a hamburger instead of Mac n Cheese or PBJ. I wish i could pay OOP for the 2 kids and DDP for the adults becuase of the children's menu.
I only took the DDP becuase the kids really wanted to do Character meals. I guess that will be mainly what they eat every day.

I agree. My kids like cheeseburgers. How many carbs and cheese can one kid eat??

Cantana San Angel-Epcot-Plato del Nino - grilled chicken and cheese quesadilla, tortilla chips and a small soft drink $3.99

Lotus-China-Beijing Barbecue Drumstick - with rice and apple sauce - $5.95

Sunshine Seasons-several choices
And Yorkshire Fisch and Chips(they have no kids options)

But many times we split a meal.

We had 8 nights of Dining plan over Xmas and my son only had a kids meal once. We realised on the second day that you could order an adult CS meal as the credits were not seperated. He loved the pizzas at Wolf Gang Pucks and the chicken strips. Also had the flat breads at Artist Palette.

AK Flame Tree BBQ-- chicken wings or hot dog (mine go for the wings)
Studios - Pizza Planet, no kids menu We usually get the pizza & salad combo
Studios - ABC Commissary has a fish or a ham & cheese wrap
Studios - Backlot Express has a sloppy joe
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons - Sweet & Sour chicken @ the Asian counter, mini-sub at the sandwich counter, and chicken leg with mashed potatoes at the grill.
Epcot - Cantina de San Angel has a chicken & cheese quesadilla (my boys loved this)
MK - El Pirata y el Perico (IF it's open) had quesadillas also, the boys loved those too
MK - Pinocchio's has a turkey & cheese roll up?

Also, where are you staying? The food courts at the resorts sometimes have better options as well.

My kids aren't too crazy about "typical" kid-food either. They'd rather have the same things DH and I have.

In DTD EofS is great for a kids meal, the sandwich is enormous (same size as adults)

Tusker House was also an awesome choice before they changed it to ts. Isn't there a cs in Epcot where you can get fish? Or am I mistaken?

Not according to the children's menus on allearsnet.com The only place I saw fish was ABC Commissary.

Also, as helpful as these suggestions are, the OP trashed the menus after my post where I provided all of the kids menus from all of the CS's at the parks. (The post I deleted) I just would hate for anyone else to feel bad for trying to help and not get thanked and then have the menus trashed.

Here are some other choices:

Epcot--Electric Umbrella offers turkey pinwheels
Sunshine Seasons has multiple choices
Cantina San Angel offers chicken quesidillas
Lotus Blossom Cafe--oriental food
Tangierine Café--pizza and burger
Yakitori House--teriyaki chicken with veggies
Yorkshire County Fish Shop featuring Harry Ramsden's--fish and chips
Animal Kingdom--Chakrandi Chicken Shop--chicken noodle soup
Flame Tree BBQ--BBQ chicken
Magic Kingdom--Casey's Corner--Hot dogs and corn dogs
Pecos Bill's --sloppy joes
Pinocchios Village Haus--turkey roll-up
Hollywood Studios--ABC Commissary--fried fish
Toy Story Pizza Planet--pizza
POR--Riverside Mills--fish basket, pasta with marinara sauce, turkey pinwheels

Hope this helps. There are a lot of choices, with the best being at POR and Epcot.

can someone tell me if a drink is included with most kids meals? And is apple juice a readily available option?? That's all my DD will drink and I don't want to bring my own juice boxes into the park everyday. But, if i have to pay extra in addition to the kids meal, i mind as well bring my own. Right??

Then perhaps your party is one of the many for whom the Dining Plan will NOT work and you would be better served by paying out of pocket for your meals.

I have been back from Disney for a couple weeks and wanted to update on this topic. We had the Dining plan so we had to use it. We ate Buffet and family table service meals for all our sit down meals and that worked out wonderful. For Counter Service we started out being picky trying to find places with Children's meals that my kids would eat but after the second day of throwing away 1/2 the food on our tray we started splitting meals. DH and I would get a double cheese burger fries drink and dessert and 1/2 them with the 2 little ones (ages 5 and 8) DD 13 ate her whole meal everytime! This worked out perfect. A couple times i even asked for an extra bun and they gave it to me.
My sister who was 1 adult and 3 kids went back to the resort everyday for a nap and ate lunch there. She would go to the food court and get 2 adult fish and chicken baskets and split them between the four of them.
On our last day I had 8 counter service meals left over I spent 5 at Earl of sandwhich ( for us to eat in the car on the way home) used 2 for my sister since she only had 2 left on hers and one never got used at all! I still feel we ate our money's worth though.
