Actually it depends on whether I want a meal or just some goodies in between. My favorite counter lunch is in Norway. They have the most wonderful sandwiches. They are show open faced, but I just ask for another peice of bread to make it a "real" hand held sandwich. I voted for this restaurant, but if I want something sweet, we head to France for a rich and gooey Napolean!

The Yorkshire fish shop is the only one on your survey that I have tried! We're kind of a full service family when we eat at WDW :teeth: The fish and chips I had at Yorkshire were superior to the same dish inside the R&C. :earseek:

I voted for Boulangerie Patisserie in France. Everything we've had there has been delicious, whether it was quiche, croissants, or pastries. :goodvibes

We love the UK Fish Stop but also tried Japan this time and it was very good. We didn't care for Mexico.

I voted for France because we've had many great bakery items there. We used to love Sommerfest for the ham & cheese on pretzel bread--but they no longer have that delicious sandwich! Other than the bakeries we haven't found much counter service we care for in the WS--we will often go out the International Gateway to Beaches & Cream, Boardwalk Bakery or Dolphin Grill if we aren't eating table service in the park.

I always liked Tangeriene Cafe - the food is always so fresh! Plus, I'm a sucker for couscous, and lentils!

A second is the French counter service - can't go wrong with pasteries (as I never had the other foods served there).

Also voted Tangeriene Cafe. I like the Chicken Shwarma. For dessert, I go to France for the Marvellous pastry--chocolate mousse with hard dark chocolate inside. Yum!

I'm all about the cheese so I had to vote for France for the cheese platter (best cheese EVER) and desserts.

All I can say is I loved ALL the booths at the Food & Wine Festival!

Sure hopes this counts... :smooth:

While I like to try new places each trip, I always seem to wind up having at least one batch of fish 'n' chips from Yorkshire!

I voted for Yakitori House, also. I love the iced green tea, the sushi, the teriyaki chicken and the soup.

I had a very bad experience with the Fish and Chips shop... made me SO sick to my stomach, I can't stand to even see the dish anymore.

I chose the Lotus Blossom because we had some really good food there last year using the Q & C vouchers..... of course the great value helped I'm sure. We had the teriyaki chicken bowl, beef fried rice, a yummy strawberry smoothie, and my personal favorite the lychee drink. Really like the Morrocco cafe to, nice to try something you don't have at your local eatery, and then there's the pastries at the Boulagerie.......jeez, so many places - so little stomach room.

Yakitori House is the favorite of both DH and I, we love it all there. Our favorites are the teryaki and the Udon. Can't wait until next trip.

We ate at Morroco on our last trip - I believe we had some kind of a sampler platter that had a little of everything - and we really enjoyed it. This is a type of food that we can't get anywhere around where we live, so that makes it kind of special.

Love the Fish & Chips in UK. But for the not usual burgers and fries at a counter service location we love Tangerine Cafe. The food is very good and we enjoy sitting outside watching the other guest.
WE really enjoy the Lentil salad and taboullah.

Yorkshire County Fish & Chips is my very favorite place :) I love the bakeries to but this is my favorite.

We love the chestnut cake at Yakitori House. It so dainty and rich that it doesn't seem like counter food at all. But we almost didn't discover it... DH is weird about most ethnic foods (which means I'm not cooking too many of my grandmother's Ukrainian recipes since I got married!). I had to lure DH in on the pretense that he likes chicken and convinced him that tempura is just like fried shrimp. Anyways, he finished his own meal and then scarfed off of mine AND DD's! Afterwards, he tried my green iced tea and wouldn't give it back. :drinking1
