Best community hall and best arcade

on our down days we like to spend time at the community hall playing pool, ping pong and the kids spend some time in the arcade

Which DVC resorts whether at WDW or a non WDW location have the best community halls and best arcades. The arcade at OKW is a joke, we enjoyed the community hall and we love the resort in general. While waiting for our dinner time at the Contemporary the kids went into the arcade there and it is huge and they loved it

We just purchased DVC last year and OKW is the only place we have stayed so far on points

Thanks

We like walking over to BLT's....oh wait thats the MK. Nevermind. BCV has a pretty good one though.

Blt has the best arcade. My favorite community hall is a tie between kidani and ssr.

I don't have any experience with Community Halls. The Contemporary has what we feel is the best arcade (and the best prizes too!)

good question!
unfortunately, we have not had much luck with our addiction, pinball machines, at any WDW resort. if PB machines actually are available, they are usually broken (more often than not without a sign:sad2:).

for other pinball lovers like us (we have only one PB machine at home:goodvibes), the best are in the arcade behind test track.

Jade's photos are of the arcades, not the Community Hall. We like SSR and OKW was nice too. AKV Kidani's Community Hall was beautiful and more "deluxe" but it also seemed a lot smaller to me.

BCV does not have a CH and I don't think VWL does, but not 100% sure on that.

Is thier really an arcade beind test track?

So I only have 2 Community Halls to compare -- SSR and AKV Kidani. My DD 12 prefers Kidani; there were more things there that she liked and the space was nicer. Having said that, though, she was up to the SSR Community Hall at least 2x/day during our trip to spend some time with other kids and away from Mom.:rotfl2:

The Arcade at SSR is medium sized, and okay. She's also used the Arcade at the Poly during our last trip...she said it was "okay" but she like the games on her iPad better. :rolleyes1

Hope this helps.

Back in July of 2004 I spent a good 2 hours playing a Lord of the Rings pinball machine at the POP game room. I believe this was the last time I have played a pinball machine:sad1: Oh how I miss them!

Thanks for the photos of the arcades. If anyone has any of the community hall I would love to see them. I have some from OKW CH and will post them soon

I love pinball machines too and the Contemporary arcade had a few of them that were fun to play. You can see a corner of them in one of the photos above

yes, and it's really big!
we like it much better than any of the resort arcades, which seem not to be as well maintained, with too many machines out of order at any given time.

that's another great thing about APs: we will often just stroll there (from the BWV - which also has a nice CH:)) for a few games. i forget exact pricing ($.50 per pinball game, i believe :confused3), but remember considering it very reasonable.

75+ trips since 1997, and we have never seen this arcade. We'll have to seek it out in a few weeks, thanks for the heads-up.

Could you mean the arcade next to space mountain? Can't picture one by test track????

Since the PP mentioned walking over from Epcot, I don't think so.
