Our 1st trip home will be with the "extended" family. We are looking to go the 1st week in april, or last in march. If everyone goes we will have 9 Dis adults and 3 Dis kids (2 in one family, 1 in the other). I was thinking about 2, 2 bedroom and 1 studio or a grand villa and a studio. BWV, or SSR. Any suggestions? :confused3 :earboy2:

IT depends on the makeup of the group. The lowest you would be able to work would be a 2 BR plus a studio. My next option would be a 2 BR plus 2 studios OR two 2 BR units. If you don't go with OKW, I'd go with two 2 BR units, for OKW, you would easily do a 2 BR plus 2 studios and use the kitchen in the 2 BR as home base. I doubt you'd need two 2 BR plus a studio but it does depend on the specifics. We had 11 at OKW back in 1999 and got a 2 BR plus 2 studios. I could have gotten by with only one studio but it was when we had free tickets and we also needed the tickets to use so felt the extra cost was mitigated significantly.

Get a 2BR & put the 4 parents and 3 kids in it...2 parents in the MBR with 1 kid on the sleeper and 2 parents and the other 2 kids in the 2nd BR.

Get another 2 BR for the other 5 adults...2 in the MBR, 2 in the 2nd BR, & one on the sleeper sofa or in the 2nd bed of the 2nd BR.

A lot depends on the relationships of the people to each other too.

I have been booking for a colleague who is bringing a party of 11 in the recent past, 9 adults, 2 kids. The arrangement that worked for them was her Parents in a Studio, brother #1 and spouse (no kids) in another Studio, and the rest in a 2BR (colleague and her DD, her Sister and BIL plus their child in studio portion and Brother #2 and GF on the pull-out). That's a 2BR and two Studios.

They are thinking that the 2BR can work as a gathering place for the group, while the Grandparents and the childless married couple get their privacy in their own studios, while she, her Sis and brother #2 (plus their partners) can have a bit more togetherness with the kids in the party (apparently bro #2 is a favorite uncle to the kids).

So that's my experience with a party that size. They don't go until Thxgiving so I won't know how it worked out unitl then.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the input, it helps out a bunch!!!
