Okay, from reading the threads it sounds like Mainstreet Bakery had great cinnamon rolls but then they stopped keeping them in the pan and they are now drier with a lot less icing. Is there another place in WDW that still has fabulous cinnamon rolls? Thanks!

we had fresh ones during breakfast time at POFQ.

Sadly the Main St Bakery is serving old/stale/cold rolls, even first thing in the morning. Think they are baking massive quantities in advance and then storing them uncovered in coolers

Oh no! NOOOOO!! :sad1:

When did this start? I get at least one of these everyday we are in MK (which is, like, half our days.) I look forward to eating one at park closing and then one the next morning for breakfast. I  them. Since we will probably get a DDP this time, I planned to use half my snack credits on them.

This really puts a damper on my next trip.

I was there in mid-December and the cinnamon rolls at Main St. bakery were completely different from the toffee-covered gigantic squares that we got on our previous trip. This time they were ordinary white-frosted cinnamon rolls, nothing special.

:sad2:

I noticed the same thing in Dec. One of mine was cold in the center.

The best cinnamon roll i have had at WDW was from the food court in POFQ. Much better than MSB! They didn't look like anything special but they were delicious!!!

We finally got one at MS Bakery for the first time early in Oct. 2010. Is this the new or old one?

I thought it was pretty good ( though a little sweet for my taste) and I seem to remember it being in the pan before they served it.

That looks like a new one to me! The old ones didn't have white icing and were covered in what looked like carmel (though it wasn't). They were hot and gooey and a mess to eat but so delicious! Oh no.... we were planning that for breakfast a couple days! :confused3

The last time I had a Main Street Bakery cinnamon roll was over a year ago and it looked like the one posted in Dizneydaz's post. It had two kinds of royal icing. I think the white was vanilla and the brown was maple. It was delicious and far exceeded my expectations. If those are the new cinnamon rolls, then I still recommend them.

Here are pictures comparing the cinnamon rolls, I can sort of tell the difference. The recent one I had was definitely not as good as years' past :(

I had a delicious one from the Tusker House take out bakery window. In fact....it was so good, I went back and got another. I think I mumbled something to the CM about the kids eating the first one.

I am going in September and I will die if they have changed the rolls. They are or were Heaven. The Boardwalk Bakery has a decent one as well. Changing things at Disney seems to be the norm these days. I was there in May and December of last year, both times the restrooms were filthy--no attendants to be seen...cuts every where. So sad.

The cinnamon rolls have notchanged. Yes, they're baked in quantity, but they have to be to keep up with demand. Nothing about them has changed, not the plate up, not the icings (honey smear and white glaze), nothing! There might be slight differences in them due to hold time in the warmer (i.e. when it's really busy, they don't spend a lot of time in the warmer as opposed to midafternoon when they might be in the warmer much longer). I've worked in MK for the last bunch of years and they're exactly the same as the day I started. :thumbsup2

We had a delicious cinnamon roll from Main Street Bakery in the evening last December. They were warm and FRESH, but not in the pan. It was a cold evening so so it really hit the spot!

I love you for posting this. :):lovestruc The cinnamon rolls are one of my family's favorite things at WDW. I feel so much better now!
